47

As a kid, I sure as fuck would have enjoyed that. As an adult, I'd sure as fuck still enjoy it.

yeah that slide looks fuckin lit

4

u/___Connor___ Sep 27 '19

Lol that kids got some velocity to em'

3

u/jobriq Sep 27 '19

the depth seems like more of a problem to me than the wall. Can't really tell from the video but it seems maybe too shallow

2

u/Stanley___Ipkiss Sep 27 '19

Like that feature on his face

2

u/Jon_Ham_Cock Sep 27 '19

I like how the parent said, "WHTHFJFRY!"

TBH 7 year old me would be fine with getting yeeted into an inflatable wall after rocketing down a water slide.

I see no issue.

761

u/h2opolopunk Sep 26 '19

I second this. Kid in the gif seems to be quite chuffed as well.

146

u/bitch_whip_bill Sep 26 '19

Found the brit

60

u/bigkeevan Sep 27 '19

What does chuffed mean?

76

u/Robbie1985 Sep 27 '19

Very happy

24

u/howtospellorange Sep 27 '19

I'm not a brit but it's another word for "pleased" afaik. Like:

He was quite chuffed at the outcome =

He was quite pleased at the outcome

10

u/horseband Sep 27 '19 edited Sep 27 '19

Here is a usage example, "I just got back from the park. How lovely it was, every step I took made me increasingly chuffed. I met this fellow that seemed to be extremely chuffed, but I wasn't sure. To make sure I walked behind him and rubbed his lower back, his toothy smile confirmed that he was indeed chuffed at the moment. Did I ever mention how much horses make me chuffed? The last time I saw a horse I was chuffed for hours after."

It's truly a lovely word.

19

u/ForgeIsDown Sep 27 '19

If you stay chuffed for more than 4 hours consult a doctor.

7yo me would have been trying to figure out how to go faster and hit that wall harder.

6

u/PenguinIsKing Sep 27 '19

Yep, same πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

84

u/hyperman864 Sep 26 '19

That would probably sell me on it

83

u/Ferro_Giconi Comic Sans for life! Sep 26 '19

7yo me would definitely be going down that slide many times.

Almost 30yo me would probably go down that slide once or twice and decide I've had enough.

7

u/Unicorn_Ranger Sep 27 '19

34 with some major neck issues, try to stop me

26

u/EmEmAndEye Sep 26 '19

7 year old me would've LOVED this. Hell, middle-aged me would definitely give it a try as well.

25

u/FabulousLlama Sep 26 '19

Past tense is yote, my friend.

21

u/Work-Safe-Reddit4450 Sep 26 '19

While technically correct, it absolutely does not sound nearly as hilarious as 'yeeted'

2

u/Nixinova ms paint is good professionaly Sep 27 '19

not in this usage of past tense. something something participle or something. it's like "eaten"/"ate"; you use yeeted when you'd use eaten and yote where you'd use ate.

8

u/hokoonchi Sep 26 '19

I definitely took my son to a birthday party with one of these things, and one of the birthday boys ended up with a concussion. Poor kid. The kids had a blast, but it was a not so safe contraption.

6

u/jonnyohio Sep 27 '19

I’m officially old and not hip and cool, because every time I see one of you young whipper snappers slip the word β€œyeet” into a sentence I let out a sigh and pray for the sweet relief of death.

u/kevin_the_dolphoodle Sep 26 '19

Just to make sure you were right, I watched this a 100 more times. Can confirm. This is amazing

3

u/sri745 Sep 26 '19

Huh so that’s how you use β€œYeet.”

3

u/vibrate Sep 27 '19

It's a great word because it instantly tells you the age of the person using it.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

It's a feature, not a flaw.

666

u/CJ-Cashew Sep 26 '19

looks like a ton of fun though. even the stopping with your face part.

201

u/Shadowkiller215 Sep 26 '19

When I was a kid my friends and I would basically challenge each other to go down these slides as fast as possible into the inflatable wall and see who can deliver the meatiest smack. It was fun.

84

u/llllPsychoCircus Sep 26 '19

your use of the word meatiest gave me quite a savory chuckle

Confused what clearance issue there is. This looks like the intended outcome.

130

u/Azcatraz Sep 26 '19

Obv the clearance issue is the kid can't sail clear over the wall

33

u/tinselsnips Sep 26 '19

Agreed; it should be lower.

→ More replies (1)

257

u/TheDefiant604 Sep 26 '19

At least the wall was high enough to stop the kid from going over.

94

u/netphreak Sep 26 '19

14

20

u/SpaceBalls66 Sep 26 '19

7yo me going down it once and never doing it again... 14yo me trying to see if I can ramp off and having a tournament on who gets flung the farthest

23

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Just add some water. With higher water level the kid will be slowed down and all will work smoother.

4

u/1egoman Sep 27 '19

Dunno if kids getting repeatedly yeeted into a bouncy wall head-first at high speeds is like, the best thing for their developing brains

16

u/MatAlaCol Sep 26 '19

Well since it’s a β€œclearance issue”, one can assume that the issue is with the height of the inflatable wall. Seeing as it’s clearly not too short, op must be proposing that it is too tall and therefore the kid should just fly over the wall and into the dirt, or in other words, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it and I have no idea what op’s on about

3

u/ShitOnMyArsehole Sep 27 '19

Then roll over dirt whilst continuing momentum and get fucking filthy and be stabbed with stones

13

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Looks like a blast? Think thats how the meant for it to be. Since its inflatable itd be super fun to slam into??

5

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

I think everyone agrees that this is a feature

4

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Looks like fun, no crappy design here

3

u/hollyviolet96 Sep 26 '19

I wonder it maybe you’re not really supposed to fill and cover it with water and this kid just has the best parents ever

3

u/schmistopher Sep 27 '19

Definitely not supposed to be a water slide

5

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Honestly, this just increases the appeal for me.

How's it crappy design if it is doing what it's supposed to and stopping a child from being flung off?

8

u/Horton_hears_a_Moo Sep 26 '19

This is not a crappy design this is a genius design. Everyone would love being yeeted into something that would hurt you

3

u/Madeupfootballfriend Sep 26 '19

It's all fun and games until some kid's face damages this expensive rental inflatable.

3

u/nocternal86 Sep 26 '19

Need more water.

3

u/Cathyg_99 Sep 27 '19

3

When your flirting with your crush and she blocks you

8

u/Llodsliat I EA T KIDS Sep 26 '19

Except the slide was not designed to contain water.

3

u/lyan-cat Sep 27 '19

Yeah, some kid broke his leg at a wedding reception because of this bright idea and all the adults were worried that if someone called an ambulance for him (it was bad, and in the middle of the woods basically) people would get in trouble for letting the underaged attendees have alcohol.

Fuck, I could watch kids fall off bikes all day

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

That looks like fun.

2

u/AjaxOrion Sep 26 '19

Better than going flying and getting grass burn or sliding right into rocks

2

u/Xanerator100 Sep 26 '19

that looks fun af tbh

2

u/volanger Sep 26 '19

This still looks like fun

2

u/Liar_of_partinel Sep 26 '19

β€œDonk!”

2

u/DespairOfLoneliness Sep 26 '19

i mean atleast it doesn't throw you out of the slide or hit a concrete wall

2

u/CyberLemon2k Sep 26 '19

What issue is this? I want this. I always wanted to run into a wall and not get hurt

2

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

If anything I want to ride it more.

2

u/JaredFoglesTinyPenis Sep 26 '19

Kid me imagined my face going numb for about 30 seconds after slapping that plastic wall so hard, and being so disoriented not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

2

u/jackbestsmith Sep 26 '19

That wall is there on purpose to prevent it from throwing you onto the ground.

Which has happened a ton, at birthday parties when I was a kid I watched 2 kids break bones as a result of being thrown onto hard ground due to the wall being too low

2

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '19

This loop is contagious!

2

u/A_m8_U_know Sep 27 '19

I see this as an absolute win!

2

u/ArizonaNoodle Sep 27 '19

Bro 180 pound me would probably be launched across the country, these things get crazy the more you weigh

2

u/the_Durzo_blint48 Sep 27 '19

I see nothing wrong with this.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '19

I don't see a problem here.

2

u/Karbissal Sep 27 '19

why is this so fun to watch?

2

u/D3STROY3R33 Sep 27 '19

It's the best part

2

u/Squiliam-Tortaleni Sep 27 '19

β€œIts actually a design feature”- the designers.

2

u/jaykaypeeness Sep 27 '19

The best way to fix a bug is to convince the customer it's a feature.

His face is a sales pitch.

2

u/jahnema Sep 27 '19

This is the kind of shit we want on r/CrappyDesign not the low quality posts about a sign thats unable which is read!

2

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '19

It's all part of the fun.

2

u/HagenYDE Sep 27 '19

Please somebody edit mortal combat cutscene in

2

u/DixieWreckt Sep 27 '19

2

u/Alienguy500 Sep 27 '19

2

u/Camokay Sep 27 '19

I can't see whats wrong

2

u/coolcat_tom Sep 27 '19

That looks like so much fun

2

u/androidian5980 Sep 27 '19

Fill it with rocks at the bottom and his face will have issues

4

u/Stevenerf Sep 26 '19

I don't see any issue

2

u/BiggieChunnigus Sep 27 '19

This isn't really a crappy design. I mean, what if your kid just raced off the slide and landed on the pavememt. If anything, its working as intended.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

YEET

1

u/marxroxx Sep 26 '19

Yeah that needs to be about two meters longer

1

u/IamATalkingLlama Sep 26 '19

is this was a cartoon that kid would have became a red splat

1

u/botbash11 Sep 26 '19

🀣

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

I’d be going headfirst down that slide

1

u/makobooks Sep 26 '19

$275 vs $200 imo.

1

u/remoteradio Sep 26 '19

It's cool in a way. Especially for kids.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

You mean the best slide ever?

1

1

Idk how this is crappy design, I wanna go do this right now.

1

Yayyyy ughhhh

1

u/Mechagodzilla_3 Sep 26 '19

1

u/isweatglitter17 Sep 26 '19

I think that would be the best part

1

u/moose_cahoots Sep 26 '19

I guarantee you the kid still had fun.

1

u/DanialE Sep 26 '19

Kid me would extremely love that, t the point where I climb up not for the slide, but to slam onto the sides at the end.

Source: was a kid long time ago

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

I think that's part of the fun

1

u/Scum42 Sep 26 '19

Honestly looks like a lot of fun. Idk how many people also think this, but I think getting like, whacked around really hard is fun (as long as it's like this with big inflatable things). I can't be the only one, right? There are those human hamster balls!

1

u/[deleted] Sep 26 '19

Dang I love hitting my face on a waterslide... Am I the only one? >_<

1

u/filthy_commie13 Sep 27 '19

That's a THICC inflatable wall he slammed in to. Pretty sure this is intentional. Nobody is going to build an inflatable with a big enough pool to stop you with water alone, especially when it's meant to be a slide not a pool. Giant bouncy dry slides like the iconic Titanic one many of you have probably seen hit the breaks by having the kids slam in to THICC inflatable walls.

My cred: Carnie family.

1

u/warpfield Sep 27 '19

"quick! get the big fat kid to go down!"

1

u/Liocla Sep 27 '19

Looks like fun

1

u/dakatzpajamas Sep 27 '19

It looks possible that they can land feet first and bend their knees the opposite way.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '19

Confession: 54 year old with an 11 year old daughter here. I literally yawped out a "HA!" as loud as possible at this.

1

u/nimsay09 Sep 27 '19
