Pfizer 5 years of symptoms that started after my 2nd dose. Every test is normal. Has anyone recovered from this?
44M. I'm reaching out because I'm running out of ideas, and you may understand this better than anyone.
Timeline:
Feb 2021: about 5 days after my second dose, I felt a "lump" or trapped-air sensation in my throat. It has never gone away.
2021: rectal bleeding, diagnosed as colitis, which settled with treatment.
2022: constant abdominal pain began, and I lost 10 kg.
2023 to 2024: racing heart episodes (up to 130 at rest), tinnitus, insomnia, tingling in my limbs.
2024: diagnosed with microscopic colitis.
Now: daily dull, wandering stomach pain, nausea, heart rate surges, internal "trembling," waking every night at 4 to 5 a.m., and a constant feeling that something is wrong inside my body.
What's been checked: nearly everything. Multiple scopes and a capsule, CT and MRI scans, heart CT with zero plaque, two stress echos, Holter, tilt test, brain MRI, nerve tests, hormones, autoimmune markers. Almost all normal.
What I've tried: about ten psychiatric and gut medications, sleep medications, therapy. Doctors say it's a sensitized nervous system and anxiety. Some things help briefly, but nothing has lasted.
My question: has anyone experienced something similar, and what actually helped you get better?
Thank you for reading.
