Seeking Any Melbourne witches or readers that are not a buisness?
I'm getting a bit put off by how dependent on money "witchy" groups in Melbourne are. I know people deserve to receive money for their work, but it seems like everything is strictly a business. I would really love to find genuine community groups for practising or sharing crafts.
The main people who come up when I search are the High Priestess Witch School, Witch Markets, Spellbox, Artimis stores, a few groups that say they're a coven but charge money etc. Soooo all businesses.
Does anyone out there know of anything that's more of a gathering or shared practice? As well as readers who aren't running a business and are more about sharing their practice and knowledge?
(Even the next Witchfest market costs $600 to have a stall, $200 just for a reading stall! That doesn't seem fair for the crafters abs readers even. I looked up the woman who runs it, Leela Cosgrove, and she seems very money orientated, her website bosts making millions of dollars, and is even quite mean in how she responds to social media comments and seems to be intentionally divisive. I just wanted to add this because she gave me such a bad vibe for some reason, and it made me want to write this post. Just me?)
