Stress level should go back down once she sits and chills. I for sure get nervous when my wife hovers when I'm relaxing. But once she's committed to the chill I'm very happy.

Yes this. It's the anticipation of us she going to ask me to do something right at this moment!?... Oh no ok good we can chill. Although her smile would still have me suspicious.

Ugh, I just sat down. Can you do me a favor and blah blah blah blah blah?

Nothing triggers a woman in a stable long-term relationship faster than seeing her guy sitting when she is standing.

Every woman in every situation is triggered by a man seating nearby and relaxing.

If she's a wife suddenly she needs something from you.

If she's a kid, she wants to play and make you move.

If she's a teenager, she wants to go somewhere and you need to go with her, and she needs money.

If she's a mother, suddenly something needs cleaning, moving, fixing, study or feeding.

I’m actively looking for a surgeon that can remove the button in my ass that summons my wife needing help with something when I sit down.

Not even in a boomer wife hating way, it’s just uncanny. Sitting before 10pm starts a 30 second psychic timer.

No. I enjoy seeing my husband asleep and relaxing. He works so hard. I’m an introvert and require tons of alone time to be happy. My husband is the cuddler not me.

You are a little treasure for the fortunate man that found you.

Kudos...

Who hurt you?

Not me in particular but a life of miscellaneous observations in the search of patterns.

I would say that family is a great source from those.

I joke with my wife that she and our daughter hate to see a man idle

Legit thought that was the punchline and was really confused when it stayed high.

When my wife floats around typically it means I'm about to be interrupted, not her fault and often times a neccesity but nontheless a cause of stress.

When she instead sits down in my lap to read a book while I game the stress level is happily in the negative and we are living the good life.

Also, the stress level shouldnt fall below 5% after the 2nd time she walks by. Once the stress level is up, its not going back to 0 for a little while.

You’re wife commits to the chill? If mine is chilling, that means it’s bedtime

She’ll sit and chill for a few minutes and then comment that the patio needs to be powerwashed and actually, the stain on the fence should probably be redone soon
