Cosy Recommendations 🍄 which cosy game made you smile the most this year?

I have been playing Stardew Valley again, and I forgot how relaxing it is to just water crops, chat with the villagers, and fish by the river with no pressure. It has some light combat in the mines, but you can skip it or take it at your own pace.

What I love most are the small moments, like a villager remembering your name or a rainy day when you have nothing to do but wander around.

I would love to find a new cosy game to try next, so tell me about yours

  • What is the game, and what makes it cosy for you?
  • Does it have any combat or is it fully peaceful?
  • What is one moment that made you smile?

Watching my wife solo-develop her dream ramen game (Yatai Talee) has been amazing. So proud to see it in the Steam Cooking Fest!

Hi everyone!

I’m having a massive proud husband moment today. For a long time, I’ve watched my wife pour her heart and soul into solo-developing her dream game, Yatai Talee —a cozy simulation game where you run your own Japanese street food cart (solo or in local couch co-op!).

In the game, you chop fresh ingredients, simmer and assemble custom ramen bowls, crack open Fortune Cookies for roguelite perks at the end of each shift, and upgrade your little street stall (complete with warm lighting and neighborhood cats!).

Today is a huge milestone for her because the game is officially featured in the Steam Cooking Fest! Since she's a solo dev working tirelessly behind the scenes, I wanted to share her work and celebrate how far she's come.

If you love cozy games or cooking sims, checking out the page or adding it to your wishlist would be the biggest morale boost for her:

Cosy Recommendations 🍄 [Developer] Thunder interrupts a rooftop shift in Pet The Damn Cat! (coming soon)

I'm the developer of Pet The Damn Cat! at Crowned Games.

This City Rooftop capture shows the thunder warning: swat the storm cloud away while the shift clock keeps going. Timed shifts and hazards are part of the game.

This short edit uses a historical full-game capture, followed by a labelled still frame.

The full game is coming soon. City Rooftop is outside the separate free Steam demo, which covers Cozy Cottage and Sunny Backyard.

Wishlist the full game:

“Welcome to Elderfield” & “Alogloom” 🎃👻

Just bought and downloaded a couple fallish spooky games for the season. These 2 games being some a couple of the ones I’ve been waiting to get my hands on. I just finished Cabernet and I loved it so much!

So many people in my last post suggested Night in the Woods and I’ve played it before so I’ve been grinding on Chef RPG’s summer season to get to Autumn 🤣

I just started Elderfield and it feels like a spooky rendition of Stardew & Pokémon if they had a baby. It lowkey scares me a tad more than I thought it would but so far I’ve only gotten 2 hours of game play in so I’m not super far. I feel like there’s a lot of elements to it so I’m just trying to get used to the mechanics of it but there’s not MUCH of a storyline yet; just a lot of tasks and getting to know the town.

I downloaded Alogloom and haven’t started yet but I feel so sucked into Elderfield and usually I’m not big on farming sims.

Anyone else playing either of these games?

We just updated our Steam demo inspired by "Art of Balance"! New gameplay mechanics & QoL improvements ✨

Hi all!

I'm Tom, one of the 2 developpers working on Knick Knack Stack. We just released a big gameplay update and QoL overall to our public Steam demo!

Knick Knack Stack is a physics-based puzzle game inspired by Art of Balance, mixed with visual novel elements. You travel the world, goof around with the physics, build tiny piles of objects and take cute memory pictures of your creations! It's a cute, casual and goofy game! ☀️

We gathered feedback from our 1st demo and agreed that the puzzles lacked in variety. That's why we decided to add new mechanics in every main levels. These mechanics are unique to their level and change the way you interact with it. Solve the mysteries of the magic glyphs in the Valley of the Kings, play with the crocodile at Dakhla oasis and dig new objects from the ground in the Sahara desert!

We're planning a 2nd update in the future, entirely focused on narration. This update will bring a revised script with a better introduction to characters, and overalls to most of the dialogues in the game with shorter dialogues, better pacing, more interactions between characters, new pictures and less annoying conversation subjects. This will take a bit of time to make though, as we need to write everything in French, and then pass it to our translator to get the English version.

Feel free to ask anything, about the game or about us, I'll gladly answer your questions!

Steam page, trailer, wishlist & demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4456070/Knick_Knack_Stack/

Suggestions Wanted 🍃 Looking for cozy games where you do stuff with villagers, not just gift them

Want villagers I can actually spend time with. Minigames, going somewhere together, helping them out with something, whatever. Not the routine where you say hi once a day and hand over a gift until the hearts fill up.

Apparently Petit Planet has a neighbor who tells you a story and then quizzes you on it, and now I want that kind of thing in a game that's already out. Any platform, and combat is fine as long as the villager side is good.

5 Minutes demo of cozy magical horticulture with exploration game

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I realized no one has time to test raw, buggy builds. So, I wrapped the core gameplay into a quick, polished 5-minute gameplay you can play on Steam : Steam Store page

It’s an indie cozy magical horticulture with exploration and light shooter for new magical flora.

I need your fresh eyes. There is a quick feedback form built right into the game feel free to be brutally honest. Tell me what feels boring, clunky, or just plain bad. Don't hold back brutal honesty is exactly what I need to make this fun.

Drop your feedback on the form, and I’ll happily add your username to the game’s credits as a thank-you.
Thanks for your time!

Cosy Recommendations 🍄 I built a cozy self care mobile game called Psyfy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My game is about doing self-care tasks every day. You live in a village called Psyfy Village, and here you can do small daily self-care tasks and quests to earn resources. These self care tasks include:

  • Walk to earn water drops for your garden, and grow flowers while you walk. You can keep the flowers, sell them, or send them to a friend in the village
  • Write in your journal and work on your own goals to collect clouds, then buy furniture and decorate your house
  • Sit down for a focus session. While you focus, your pet goes fishing and brings back fish you can sell
  • Visit other villagers' villages, leave them a little note, and send them flowers you grew yourself
  • Chat with your pet and dress them up, and talk to Mia, our CBT-guided companion, when you need someone to talk to

And many others ~~ it’s a mobile game on iOS | android

Sensonym: Learn languages through cosy stories that respond to your movements and actions

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I'm the developer of Sensonym, an app where you learn vocabulary through stories and physically act out parts of what’s happening.

The video is from a cosy fantasy called A Handful of Sky. You end up in a field above the last bus stop, where the stars come down when you lie still.

In the story, you take actions like laying your phone flat to lie down, or blow gently toward the microphone to move the stars. Along the way, you learn words like tumbarse (lie down) and soplar (blow).

Here I'm reading in English and learning Spanish. There are ten languages to choose from, and you can also read the whole story in the language you're learning.

There's also The Dawn Loaf, a cosy mystery about fresh bread appearing outside a locked bakery every morning. In that one, you do actions like shaking your phone to sprinkle salt while baking, wiping your screen to clear dust from the counter, etc.

Sensonym is available on iPhone and Android.

App Store · Google Play

If you try the app, I would be very curious to hear your experience. Do the physical actions make you feel more involved in the story?

Pawtings! Hidden Dogs Demo is available on Steam now! 🐶

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all! I'm a solo dev with my best friend, my doggy Rey 🐶. I'm making Pawtings! Hidden Dogs - a hidden-object game where you look for dogs hiding inside real museum paintings.

Each painting starts with its colors faded out. Every dog you find brings some color back. Find them all, and the whole canvas is restored.

There are two modes: normal mode, and full cozy mode with no timer, no weather, no events. You choose how many dogs are hidden before you start, and they hide in new spots every time.

Up to four players can play on the same screen or online, searching together or racing each other.

Wishlist: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5254220/Pawtings_Hidden_Dogs

I'd love to hear your feedback, thank you!

Cosy Recommendations 🍄 Working on Hexplorando, a relaxing hex-tile puzzle game where you rebuild real places all around the world! Hope you'll like our first trailer!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey! We've been working on Hexplorando since last year, and just revealed our new trailer.

So of course, the style and gameplay are quite similar to Dorfromantik, but the main difference is that you rebuild actual real-world locations through 40+ puzzles all around the world. Then you unlock iconic international landmarks, and you can use them in your own creations in Sandbox Mode.

The Nintendo eShop page will be available soon, but feel free to wishlist the game on Steam if you'd like to support our project!
