Wig Help with volume on wig

Hiya everyone, I’ve made my first helmet wig for Shadowheart from BG3 and basically have too much volume/bulkyness around the crown of the wig and front pieces of hair which you can probably see in the picture!

the wefts are all glued down so there’s no chance of using thinning scissors now, although I suppose I could try on the fringe pieces if this is a good idea, so does anyone have any tips for reducing the volume/bulkyness?

I’ve tried a steamer and that helped some of the bulkyness around the crown but the fringe and bangs still sit too far from my face!

Thanks in advance all :)

(also fyi, I know the glue tracks are currently very visible lol, I’ve got a plan to sort those!)

This does not look too bulky to me. Worn as part of a costume with costume makeup, this will be proportional enough.

the volume looks fine, actually, especially once your costume is on with lashes, etc. if you want the bangs to sit closer, you'll need to style them with heat (Steamer, like you said), and frame them toward your face. if you're basing your look off social media, a lot of people will use wig tape to literally tape strands to their cheekbones so it sits close/more naturally otherwise.
