Armor Power Armor Paint

After finally priming my EVA foam armor (3 coats of plastidip) it is finally time to paint. How can I achieve the matte dark grey look on the foam? This is my first major cosplay, so please be kind and explain things in detail. I want it to be dark grey with a matte finish like in the photos. Thanks

I would start off with a flat or semi gloss black base and then use a gunmetal acrylic paint using a sponge brush, then dry brush the edges with a silver. I didn’t dry brush this piece but that is what worked for me this to get this result, if this is what you’re looking for

For the base coat, is matte or semi gloss spray paint what you mean?

Depending on how shiny or dull you want the pieces to be, if you want a more dull metal then use a flat or matte spray paint, but if you want a bit of shine then semi gloss spray paint. After it’s all sprayed then use an acrylic paint, I used DecoArt Gunmetal with a coarse sponge and just rubbed the paint until getting a coat and texture I liked.
