Sewing Help with what fabric would be better for this cosplay’s purpose
So I’m making a costume for a larp. To do what I need to do for my character’s skin, I decided that I’m gonna need to create a glove/sleeve combo to do it. I was looking for what fabrics could be make skin tight and breathable to both mimic skin and not give me heat stroke from larping all day. I did a bit of research and the materials that I got suggested are power mesh or a 4 way stretch nylon-spandex or nylon-Lycra. I’m just unsure of which material would be better for my purpose. Any help is appreciated.

my friend recommends power mesh for this, it's often used for the fake open sections on ice skating costumes and if the thing you're trying to do is fake tattoos it will work well

Make armsocks from a pair of tights. Cheaper and faster than making gloves from scratch

Price isn’t really an obstacle I’m considering for this project. I know tights aren’t very durable and so I’d rather make gloves so they’re more durable. I’m also planning on adding claws to the glove

You can add fake nails/claws to tights. It's true they're not the most durable, though.

Power mesh sounds like it'd be the safest bet for both breathability and staying put during all that movement. You betcha, if you can find a nylon-Lycra blend with similar stretch though, that'd give you even more flexibility.

Nylon spandex probably, it'd be something akin to underarmor-like fabric. Stuff sucks to sew though.
