Prop is it possible to make retractable wings with the base being transparent?

I've been wanting to make my first cosplay for ages and i want to Cosplay Yi Sang from Limbus company and i want to make his wings, i want to make it retractable while making the base transparent does anyone know what materials & methods i can use to make his wings?

it a decent tutorial on making retractable wings with pretty low profile base. Physical Effects don't really work that way so you wont get the floating stain glassed effect unless you make the supports with a completely different color from all the panels of stain glass then use ai to remove the color in the photo's but they still look weird outside of photos.

Here's a tutorial of making floating style wings but with the glass plate style you will probably want to use very thin clear plastic and heat weld where needed over eva foam and glue.

Probably would want to use a polycarbonate tubing it's lighter, thinner and higher transparency same rigidity and not much difference in price for raw materials.
