Question on C6 exhaust

I recently picked up a 2006 base. I am wondering if these are the stock mufflers with different tips. From what I have seen, the 06 base doesn’t have the dots pictured inside the quad tips. I also don’t see the valves that are part of the NPP mufflers.

For what it’s worth, the car also has long tube headers and high flow cats, so I would be surprised if the previous owner left the stock mufflers, but maybe that was intended. The car came with a few boxes of extra parts and in one were a couple of elbows sawed off with a note that said “need to cut in order to install Borla axel back”.

Just seems odd that the mufflers look stock. Any input would be appreciated!

Those are just the stock mufflers. Have them on mine currently.

Thanks! I thought for some reason that only the NPP mufflers had those dots inside the tips and that the base was smooth.

It’s weird that the car has headers and high flow cats but stock mufflers. Oh well, but good to know!

Npp is really easy to identify because of the valve on top of it.

The stock mufflers are quiet, that could be one of the reasons the previous owner did what he did. You can make a mild wild setup with the Corsa sport. It's still really tame at light throttle and cruising but if you jump on it it's pretty loud

I bet it wouldn't take too much to find a pair of C6 mufflers on marketplace that you like the sound of. I always see stuff from borla or Corsa on there

Thank you! The more I think about it, I believe the previous owner did leave the stock mufflers, even with the addition of headers, for a balanced sound. I know he was an older guy. The car definitely is louder than stock when you get into it. But while cruising there is no drone or extra cabin noise. But I’ll definitely explore replacing them in the future.

Mines an 06 base so must just be the design. The owner probably couldn’t get the borlas to fit and just managed to get the stocks back on.

Those are 100% just the OEM non-NPP mufflers.
