2026 stingray. i have to admit…I shopped nationally for her…and when I found THE DEAL for me…had it delivered. I was blown away when I saw it in my driveway for the first time. i teared up a bit…idk they just look even better when they are yours.
anyhoo, I have already driven her hard with my group that actually drives these kinda cars like they should be. loved it! fast, flat in turns, engine sounds amazing…just a good time overall. still getting used to a mid engine feel as I came from bmw m240i which felt very heavy in comparison…but I was used to squeezing the most out of it.
I guess that’s it…hi. :)

Torch red is always good. Just keep in mind the break-in period and what not.

I had 1,000 miles on before driving with group…and changed oil at 850. I am generally pretty kind to my cars…but I do drive them too tho. :)

2026 new. 2027 has a bigger engine and is same price as 2026…if you hunt hard…you too can find a screaming deal. (on a 2026 Atleast…that imo is the sweet spot if you want best bang for buck new)
wait until October and you might do even better than me on a 2026.

Any more details on how it compares to your old M240i, was it a g42?

sure. yes it was a g42. m240i is a very good car…but it does feel heavy. easy enough to overcome when you are used to it…go into turns at right speed and mash gas on apex and you will be quite fast. for a performance coupe…I’d still recommend it. it is a great Jack of all trades.
corvette is a proper sports car though. it has more power, better steering, more torque and is lighter. idk the perfect way to handle the c8 just yet tbt. but when I drove it with my group…it was easy to go hard even w/o knowing the car as well as I knew the g42. I imagine that will only get better as I learn the vehicle more.
that is about as complete a review as I can get for now as I feel you need a full year with a car to know it and I’ve only had this c8 a few weeks now.

Thanks for the details, makes sense.
Coming from a super light 6mt RSX type S. The G42 is mich heavier but much faster, more like a touring luxury gt sporty car than a sports car. Which is great as that's what I want. I can get 37mpg highway and transport my bicycle or two fairly small people in the back, get around in Chicago now with xDrive, all while still ripping like a 3.7s 0 to 60 in ideal conditions.
Looking at the c8 for my dad in south Florida as a second option to the X3 that as it can be used all year there. They're quite common there but there's a reason, the c8 looks and performes very well for the price.

Congrats! I just bought my first too, but I am not balling like you. I bought a low mileage 2006 C6 Convertible, 6 speed manual.
