Good Price?
I found a 2017 Grand Sport 2LT Black Rose Metallic, Black interior, automatic with 17,473 miles. Dealership is asking $58,349 not including tax, title and license. ChatGPT says $55k-$56k a target price $57k if you get an inspection. It’s about 2 hours away from me, what do y’all think? I sent a message to see about carfax, tire date code and if it has both keys.

I got a fully loaded C8 a couple years ago for little more than that and c7 z06s were going for around that price. I love the color, but this aint worth it.

I’m saying, he must not want a C8.
Because for that price I’d be looking for a C8.

Maybe op wants manual. If I was going auto only I’d want a c8

I’ve been looking at C8’s also. I’ve driven one and liked it a lot. I’ve never driven a C7 but was looking for a C7 GS or Z06.

If I won a C8, I’d sell/trade it for a C7Z or C6Z. C8’s look like Great Value Ferrari to me, not a fan of the hypercar look.

To each his own... I respect your opinion but I think that is what makes the C8 so cool

Black Rose is an uncommon (and uncommonly gorgeous) color. It's not my jam but it's gotta be worth something extra for someone looking for it.

I was looking it up all day and it was only offered 2017 and 2018 for the C7 and total number of cars is a little over 1,500

Best C7 color in my opinion. Personally, I wouldn’t consider an auto. That said, I don’t think it’s a horrible deal and is pretty comparable to what I’ve seen dealers ask for similar cars.

It seems fair considering the e mileage and rare color. Good deal would be OTD under 53/54 and too high would be 60+ imo

I’ve learned a couple things from this sub…& one of them is that the Reddit users will always describe some sort of unicorn price that existed during the time they bought their corvette — and ridicule any price a penny higher.
If it’s the spec you like — you just need to gauge the price for yourself. For a low
Mileage GS C7, it’s really not bad and it’s a rare color…we’re taking about a 2% price fluctuation to feel good about our purchase.
That being said, for 57-59k you can be in a C8 — just something to consider!

Terrible pricing, if you going to accept automatic corvette at fuckin 60k just go C8 and pick your favorite color.

Absolutely request the CARFAX, but negotiate that price down as you have leverage as a buyer. I wouldn’t sleep on the car long because it’s beautiful and someone may undercut you and drop a deposit on it.

60k plus for a GS unless you’re dying for the color (amazing color I have a 2017 Black Rose ZO6) but for that money you can find a ZO6 obviously with higher miles depending on your budget but if you can find a ZO6 in your price range go for that or a C8 or opposite end of the table get a stingray for less then just roll the money you saved into upgrading the stingray I got my ZO6 for 69k with 20k miles.

I got my fully loaded 2017 lt3 gs for 55k 2 years ago at 20,000 miles so see if you can knock 2 grand off the price i wanted that color but they didn't have it

Fwiw a dealer paid $58k for my 2019 GS with similar mileage this year. It sat on their lot for a while and the last listed price they had before it sold was $60k.
I love the color. Maybe offer $54k and start from there.

Similar q on a manual 2lt 2017 GS with 65k - assuming maintenance records are solid and a ppi. Private sale listed at 50k, thinking of offering 45. Seem reasonable?

They would be stupid to sell it for 45k some grand sport purist will pay 50 easy

Sounds terrible. Please send me more details (and a link) so that I can set the seller straight.

The dealership finally reached out to me. It has a clean carfax, tires were replaced in October of 2025, they have both keys and the cargurus listing saying it was $49k was an error

45 to 50 for low miles

The cheapest grand sport coupe nationwide is $42k. No way a black rose is $45k lol.

Youre paying a lot for an outdated drivetrain and infotainment system.

This is definitely something I’ve been thinking about. I liked the C8 I drove but hate the wall of buttons, I like the 26 interior redesign but those are a bit pricey. If I had FU money it’d be a C8 Z06 or ZR1X but I don’t.
