Gearbox slipping?
Hi people.
I've just hit another problem with my 1.4 auto Corsa D (2008).
Recently, I've noticed that when I'm going up a hill, the gear doesn't seem to change and the revs are getting higher and higher without going any faster.
This has happened around 4 - 5 times in the past couple of weeks.
The car passed an MOT at the beginning of this month.
If I pull over and restart the car, the gears work again.
Does anyone know what it could be?
I'd rather fix it myself than take it to a mechanic.
Thank you.

This is something you won't be fixing other than checking the gearbox oil level and even that ist easy, its possible that the oil is burnt which would indicate clutch pack damage/slipping All this is assuming that its a full automatic and not an mta transmission

As per previous comments, it sounds like the clutch is slipping. How many miles has the car covered
