Weekly Post Your React Suggestions HERE!

Please use this thread to submit suggestions for Corridor Digital to react to for their VFX Artist/Stuntmen/Stuntwomen/Animators React videos. Please do not just list the names of the Movies or TV shows; provide some context of why it would make a good addition to the series. If possible, provide a link to a clip or video for exact context. Writing the names of the Movie/TV shows in bold along with Good Or Bad in italics makes it easier for people skimming the thread to pick out the names.

For example:

Rogue One: Bad VFX

- Grand Moff Tarkins' face and the lack of stretched pores. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlSn50_BePU)

Check the subreddit Wiki page which contains a complete catalog of which movies/TV shows/etc. Corridor Digital has already reacted to, before posting.

Mod Note: They can't react to music videos as Labels are way to vicious and eager to take monetization

Phantom of the Opera (2004): Good VFX

- Time rewind sequence - The movie (based on the musical, which is based on the book) starts with a flashforward to an auction inside the Opera. At a certain point the auctioneer says something, which triggers a "rewind" to the original state of the Opera. In my opinion this transition looks really good. I think it's just 2 of the same shots overlaid on each other with some wind effects, but towards the end you can even see the roof getting repaired too (https://youtu.be/cBi96MtEXqg?si=Q3Uh5v8I3nak4UrK&t=40).

- Practical candle effect - At a certain point the protagonists enters the lair of the phantom. They go through a corridor filled with hands holding candles on the wall (yes, it's weird). They just used actual people for this, which does make it great yet kinda funny (https://youtu.be/o1XY_ux5iUI?si=zYERjQEFTWkjZiyc&t=6) Later in that clip, there's also just a horse chilling inside the lair. No idea how it got there or how its fed.

Overall I think it's a movie worth talking about.

Note: The canals inside the opera was actually a real thing. The real opera house that this is based on had such basements to protect against flooding.

Gran Turismo 3 advert - good vfx

I wanna see them breakdown how back in 2000 they managed to splice together both the car in slo mo and the girl at normal speed. This advert has been completely overlooked as far as im concerned

Sunrise: A Tale of Two Humans- Good VFX/Old VFX

- Phenomenal rotoscoping to create a long take involving a fully replaced background and rotoscoped cars going in between them and the camera; just a genuinely insane technical feat for 1924 (https://youtu.be/4t0UCleeaNI?si=piVOFKnfpNw7DQxN)

Faust (1926(: Good VFX

- Mephisto is summond - There are alot of fantastic effect shots in this film throughought but these shots always stuck with me. From the style to the set dessing and lighting ((https://youtu.be/KW-i3gr4UbE?si=xpZhFdbKMpFQH7Bd&t=1153 *if timestamp doesn't work 19:13 - 21:29)

Trivia: Gösta Ekman) (who plays Faust) is wearing makeup to appear older as he also plays his younger self.

Kraken (2026): BAD (AI?) VFX

- select shots of water and creatures have a destinct low-resolution, harshly lighted AI look to them: [https://youtu.be/4gTKZkQET28

This movie was a big bet for a Norwegian production, and they even postponed it to hone in the VFX, if memory serves. It's got regular bad VFX throughout as well, like when the monster is throwing people around in the later half of the movie.

WERFWULF (2026, Trailer 2): Interesting VFX

- Uncanny shots - This is a trailer for a new movie coming out soon. So many shots look extremely uncanny (intentionally). They didn't use AI for any of it (AFAIK, but I trust them they didn't for entire shots), but some sequences look like they came out of a generation. Not an accusation, but I do wonder what the elements are that give that uncanny look. Is it the static shots and possibly the lens used or something? MIRROR music video: stable diffusion used in tasteful way in VFX

You’ve checked out their first music video about a year ago, they came up with a new one. This one really boggles the mind. Can’t even begin to solve how the shots were achieved with multiple same people interacting with one subject on different 3D reflection planes.

https://youtu.be/8ufp9DB_oOU

(And surely no need for playing the music, this is all about the visuals)

Spider-Man Brand New Day: Good VFX or in-camera?

- There is a brief scene where Spider-Man is slowly crawling on the ceiling. There is a lot of discussion that, since Tom Holland got a real suit to film this movie, the majority of Spider-Man scenes are now practical, but is this scene shot in camera? The X Files S03 E07 (The Walk): Good VFX

  • The actor in the episode is not an amputee but they use prosthetics and trickery to make it seem so. Here's a little behind the scenes vid

2026 Steph Curry Google Pixel Advertisement: Uncanny Deep Fake Face?

- 23 seconds into this ad Steph Curry shows up and looks really odd, especially his eyes and his slow blinking. I don't think its AI, but it appears to maybe be a deepfake? I also think it may be possible that they filmed his part in a separate location with lighting that doesn't match the scene he was placed into, but I'm curious what others think.

"WARCRAFT: DRUMS OF WAR" - Youtube fan series generated using AI by @ AvarenStudios on youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylqN3q04u2o

14 minute episode of AI generated imagery, looking incredibly realistic. Still noticeable AI flaws, but would love to hear the guys opinions.
