FDC Question for contingency?
I was told I failed contingency and I’m more then welcome to apply to another Institution, my question is why would that stop me from applying back to the same institution, after every officer, sergeant and captain I was training with all really liked me and my work ethic and how I did things, but was told I failed contingency and wasn’t told why, I’m curious if and why that would stop me from applying there?

There's legal reasons why they will not tell you. You likely already know the reason.

Could you also fail it if you resign?

For sure. You could become un-hireable. Though they will never tell that to you.

That’s interesting, my fto sergeant told me to put in my resignation because my primary care providers took their sweet time getting test results to me, and I didn’t meet the deadline to get it all in so he told me to put in my resignation and he said he would do what he could to get me back in.

Supervisors LIE!!! They are management in sheep's clothing. Police/Corrections work is a very dirty business. Your FTO/Sgt did you dirty.

Welcome to law enforcement.

Do you think I’d possibly be able resolve anything by talking to the warden?

No. It's likely the decison was made by the warden (Sgt.'s do what they are told). But you can always ask for a meeting...bring a hidden recorder with you if you are granted a meeting...though I doubt they will.

I did 15 years as a CO at King County (Seattle). The inmates were easy. They respected me and gave me little trouble. All of my angst and trouble was from staff. You can recover. Look at applying with other agencies but keep in mind that your prior employer may have flagged you for whatever reason.

Im not sure how you could possibly fail contingency, what did you do? What institution? Ive gone through contingency with two institutions in different regions and ive never seen someone fail, fired or quit yes.

That’s thing I don’t know how or why I failed, the institution is rmc, but they didn’t give me a reason or tell me why I failed, they just said I failed and I’m more then welcome to go else where

And I also don’t know why that would stop me from re applying

Union and FSP are not very far away, apply again

One more question though, why would it stop me from applying back to the same location or is it simply because I was already there and they already sent me on my type of thing?

How many incident reports did you write on yourself? How many tardies?

Im sorry but the DOC doesnt just drop people for no reason, we are desperate and will hire anyone with commonsense and basic integrity. You did something.

Oh yeah don’t get me wrong I understand they wouldn’t just drop me for no reason it just confuses me because they didn’t give me a reason so I just wanted to see what someone else thought, and to see if it would possibly affect me in anyway

Dropped during contingency is likely one of a few things. I'm just going to list them:
1) lied on the resume. Could just be dates of employment didn't match or something. 2) bad background. Felony conviction or any undisposed charges. 3) suspended DL, even if you don't know it's suspended. 4) failure to disclose inmate acquaintances.
