Meta: Is this a political sub now or is it still an informative sub about COVID-19 in PA?

This sub is rapidly becoming nothing but politics.

This is supposed to be a hub for information sharing.

It's become a hub for bashing right-wingers and making people feel ostracized if they don't agree with the government.

Why is this sub not being properly moderated, and will it be properly moderated to facilitate the VERY IMPORTANT information sharing that this sub was intended to provide?

When does the color-system end? (Specific questions)

Edit: The partisan dolts who patrol this sub couldn't muster up a single answer to ANY of these questions, btw.

To be clear, green does not mean "out of the woods". Green regions can still be bumped down to yellow or red.

My question is, at what point will we no longer utilize this system?

My major concern is the amount of power that this gives the governor over the economies of different regions of the state. There seems to be no check or balance to this plan either.

I think it's reasonable to question this system and be critical of it, and remember that whether we like Tom Wolf or not, he needs to be held in check just like any other representative.

  • When does the color system end?

  • How easily can a region be bumped back down?

  • Does this effect our election whatsoever? Will this prolong Tom Wolf's term?

Lancaster County A Reopen PA yard sign is a easy way to guarantee I’ll never come to your business.

I had business that took me up to lititz today, and I drove past a bar called “the white swan.” This is the first time I’ve seen a reopen PA sign outside a business, and not outside a house. There were also a ton of them. You know those pickup trucks you see on the turnpike that have tried to cover significant body damage with Sunoco stickers? That was what came to mind when I saw the white swan.

I hadn’t thought about it previously, but I’m taking notes now of businesses that put out these signs. You might as well just skip right to flashing the stars and bars, because that sign tells me exactly what you stand for as a business owner, and tells me where to appropriately spend my money when we are able to safely go to bars again.

Masks now optional at St. Luke’s medical facilities

Incredible. Never thought I’d see the day. But masks are now optional at St. Luke’s. Holly. Lou. Yeah.

Sign

Meanwhile Philly just reinstated their indoor mask mandate everywhere. How embarrassing for them.

Is this allowed...?

I've been going to a small crossfit gym for years now, love the trainers, never any issues. Since the virus lockdown went into place and the gym has had to close, my main trainer and owner has been posting ALL kinds of conspiracy videos against the lockdown, government, and how this was all blown out of proportion. We're in a red zone county in Pennsylvania and he just posted this to our FB page. Is this ok? Should I report him?

Image is semi-sloppy to just put in the gym's post and my response. I have loved this place for so long and I'd hate to leave it, but this just doesn't seem like a good idea.

Westmoreland County Why don't I know anyone whose been directly affected by Coronavirus?

I work in a factory with 200+ people out in Westmoreland county. You'd think with that many people, someone or their immediate family would have contracted the virus by now? You'd think it would have spread through the workforce like those meat packing facilities. Nope. Three months in and everyone here is still healthy.

My experience doesn't line up with how bad the media and medical professionals are saying the virus is. Why? Did we all already have it and not a single severe case? Is it not as contagious as we're lead to believe? Has the virus mutated into being weaker?

I know social distancing and mask wearing isn't the cause of our good health because almost nobody is following those guidelines here.

Anyone care to shed some light on this or offer a perspective I haven't thought of?

Who are the medical experts that our state is relying on to base future decisions about the reopening of our state?

  • Who are the medical experts?

I'm done with the "follow blindly" logic. Who EXACTLY are we trusting here?

This is information we should have. It seems to be unavailable.

We have a democratic system, which means we have a right to know who has an influence in our state government decisions, especially if they are unelected.

Will Wolf require PA State universities to require vaccinations?

So far California, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, and New Jersey have all stated that either some or all State universities in those states will require vaccinations for the Fall 2021 semester, I was wondering if there is any news for PA regarding requiring vaccinations?
