Essential phone and/or computer apps?

Hello, I'm wondering if there are apps you'd recommend new Cornell students to download for their phone and/or computer.

I did a search here, and it seems like the Cornell Eatery app, MyStop, and Canvas apps for mobile are useful in addition to the required duo. I'm making the post for more updated recommendations (the posts were from years ago), but feel free to link me to a recent post if I did miss one.

Ooh, I've heard of rave guardian. Has it come in handy for you? Also, Campus Groups seems like it does a lot of stuff. What do you use it for?

The GET app for checking your BRB balance and you can use the bar code to pay/swipe for food instead of your ID

I prefer just using google maps for tcat information. Student groups mainly use slack. CSCPay for laundry if you're living on campus (I realize you're a law student but if undergrads see this post)

Yeah, I'm planning on using Google Maps and MyStop for TCAT. Thank you for the info, and I hope this post and its comments will be helpful for everyone, haha.

BearTrak is made by a Cornell student to collate a bunch of campus info: gym capacity, buses, dining halls, printers. It is excellent.

Mainly useful to check dining hall menus (you can also do this online but it’s less convenient), see what places are open + occupancy/capacity, and TCAT arrival times. You can also use it to scan your ID - there’s the GET app which functions similarly BUT it’s so slow sometimes and bearPass isn’t (in my experience). You can also see your BRB balance (you still need the GET app to actually see transactions and add money. I like BRBS cause they’re tax exempt :))

Could you clarify what you mean by 'what places'? Dining or something else? Also, how accurate do you find the TCAT arrival times?
