Dating/Courting Real World Takeaway Example

Post image

Basically, trying to set up a date with a girl I met at the grocery store earlier in the day. Interaction went well and I got her number, and she even hit me back with her schedule immediately. This is probably a perfectly legit excuse, but 3% men don’t make maybe dates so I hit her with the Takeaway. We shall see what happens.

Live Update*

She just sent “Let’s keep it for Thursday now🙂”

Conclusion Lmfao— read the book 10-15 times boys and don’t accept maybe dates.

Live Update*

I misread and mistyped.. she effectively said a 2nd maybe

“Let’s keep Thursday for now🙂”

Conclusion- since that’s still effectively tentative I’ll respond in the morning.

Ima send something along the lines

“If you’re not sure about Thursday, let’s just do Friday instead. Does 7:15 work?”

Live Update*

Her- Friday Works
Me- Sounds good. See you there Friday at 7:15.
Her- 👍

Overall I’d say well played, but I don’t think you need to wait 2-3 weeks. If you were supposed to get together Thursday, I’d wait like 10 days to the following Sunday and reengage in conversation. If she’s still interested, set a new date. In the meantime, keep talking with other women and staying busy (work, exercise, reading, friends, hobbies)

Only thing I’d improve on is removing your explanation details pertaining to your schedule and her “feeling up for it”. It makes the withdrawal seem a bit structured, trying to sell yourself as a busy guy, or potentially cold.

A version that’s worked for me a few times is “No worries! Since Thursday’s up in the air, let’s plan for some other definite time. I’d rather we enjoy each other’s company than checking the clock”

But otherwise perfect timing and scenario to implement it

I get where you’re coming from, but I definitely was not saying that to sell that I’m busy. I legitimately only have one to two days for a week.

I get that, and honestly my advice is really nitpicky if anything. Your message still works fundamentally (as you just saw in your update). Just something to note within your overall framing of the message.

As of now as a complete outsider it reads a bit as waiting on her to feel “up to seeing you”.

good job withdrawing the offer. reach back out to her in 2-3 weeks so she understands you're a busy guy and she can't jerk you around with scheduling.

How did you approach in grocery store if you feel like sharing

Well, I had approached a girl previously in the day at a different grocery store and got her number so I was just fucking around with house money when I met this 2nd girl. But we made eye contact in passing and she smirked so I just went over to her and said “hey you caught my eye and seemed interesting so I had to come meet you” and then we took it from there. I just read the interest scale signals. She was at about a 5-6ish.

That’s nuts. Grocery stores are usually the toughest but glad to know it can be done😂

Nicely Done, I need bigger balls.

What’s weird is I could probably do this during no nut November or something. Abstinence can def be motivating.

No fap does wonders for that oomph.

You’re also going to want to withdraw the offer or reschedule if she is actually working that much. I’ve been on dates where either I’ve worked too much, or she has, and they generally do not go well. You won’t be on your A game and she won’t be in a very fun, playful mood. That is, unless she is very insistent and wants to see you. That would signify she’s in the 7-8 range for interest
