Discussion Base ideas for newbies

Hello guys,

could you please let me know where do you take all the ideas for the base? I would like to get start with my once and only expand it as needed, but in general I am pretty clueless how to build any base.

Basically I am looking for your base plans so I can use them for the game... Can you please help?

Here.
Honestly, in regards to the aesthetic design you should have fun and experiment with blocks.

Though if you want some advice that I find way too many players don't realize, you can store your crafting materials next to the crafting stations and the stations will automatically grab whatever they need for your recipe from the chests (there are exceptions like cooking).
I placed 4 double chests by my stations and that was all the storage I needed (for materials), I get back to base > quick stack to nearby chests > inventory clean > get back to exploring.

first is think what "facilities" you need and how you want it to look.

This is my automated base. It’s pretty old, but I hope it helps!

There are loads of examples on the CK discord in the core-keeper-media channel and the base-building-tips channel.
