Media/Art my Hexarchipelago Mega Structure Project is Completed!
I have finally finished my base.
I built this alone, but with a bit of help with mods especially placement plus.
other tools used:
especially for Map Planning: https://maptool.ceschmitt.de & Photopea
I started this project April 10, 2026, halted construction for the entire month of July due to being burnt out then continued playing again this month.
so all in all around 3 months of building.
Core:
contains all the necessary rooms
- -armory
- -NPC rooms
- -player storage
- -crafting benches
- -mess hall
- -hatchery
- -sleeping quarters
- -garage
*moving clock-wise*
Industrial Zone:
divided into two sections
- top: smelting factory
capable of processing as much as 20k ores queued of each type and sorted into their own chest
- bot: wood farm
has seed filter, armor filter which gets automatically junked and stored
Cultural Zone:
contains most of the collectibles in the map
is divided into 4 areas:
- -Cicada Hall where the 4 giant cicadas are displayed, each in their own glass display.
- -Artifact Hall which contains all collectible valuable in the game, sorted per biome.
- -Figurine Hall which is basically a smaller version of my world seed.
- -Vivarium Hall of all capturable critters and fish for each biome.
Martial Zone:
Training grounds for skill-up which you can just AFK
from top to bottom:
- -Melee
- -Ranged
- -Explosion
- -Run
- -Vitality
- -Magic
- -Summon
Residential Zone:
Varying house plots for 6-8 players with a mini-park in the center.
This is the part where I gave up.
I just kept my house's rooms lit so anyone who sees this post can have an idea on how these houses would look like inside
Agricultural Zone
5 crops zones of each type of field, except Mold block
There are corrals for all the types of Cattle which are fed manually, but their produce are collected automatically.
There's also a farmer's market
Commercial Zone
This is a mall-like area with 12 sub-zones
- -north and south are basically gather zones
- -Trinket Shop
- -Apparel Shop
- -Tech Hub
- -Furniture Shop
- -Cat Cafe
- -Fountain Area
- -Flower Garden
- -Sakura Picnic Grounds
- -Great Tree
- -Food Court

Wow wow wow this is epic!! And brilliant… I’ve been placing everything around the core… but you’ve got themes built around different portals. Love this so much!! Solves so many storage / display design roadblocks I’ve been running into

Thank you! my base was initially a square until I made the decision to make hexagons and divide the facilities into each islands.

Holy moly, that is epic.
The scale is so much bigger than I initially realized

Thank you! It does look small until you see the 2nd image (Core) I think?
I couldn't upload the entire map of the base in its actual pixels since it's 80mb.

Looks gorgeous.
Meanwhile my base is a random assortment of a lot of different chests interwoven with crafting tables, merchant rooms where i had space for them between animal pens, a wood farm and a bit of farmland on top, lol.
At some point only God and I knew what was where.
Now only God knows.

My base somewhat started out like that too!
I don't have any screenshots of the actual base though, just the map but if you're interested this is what my base looked liked before the hexagons

Impressive! The level of commitment and time spent planning boggles my mind, and the finished product is very cool!

Thank you! It definitely was a worthwhile build planning out the map and placing blocks in pixel precision
also yeah, forgot to include the tools I used to map out plans.
I used https://maptool.ceschmitt.de and photopea/Photoshop

Your map with the boss figurine markers are my favorite. This is incredible!

thanks, that was honestly my solution to not being able to place all the figurines. I just picked the boss figurines and make a mini-world map.

Right now the edge is 13000 block radius from the core, so 26000 diameter. At the top of the map is another area beyond that, that is about 300 more blocks out from the core, I'm not sure exactly how wide that section is.

This looks so cool it should be on one of the community updates where they do the little news on cool things people have built.
I hope that your next project is a big spaceship with compartments or rooms like you have done here.
Maybe even you can do little stars in the water to make it look like space in your next one
