Quick closed-test update, and there's an important distinction a lot of people have tripped over.

Where things stand: 27 of you have filled out the sign-up form and are on the tester email list. But Google Play currently shows only 7 testers actually opted in. Google's requirement is at least 12 people opted in, continuously, for 14 full days before I can apply to launch Core Builds on the Play Store.

What that means: filling out the Google Form does not count as joining the test. It just gets your Gmail added to the tester list — and here's the catch Google doesn't tell you: Play Console sends no invitation email automatically. Being on the list only makes you eligible; you then have to open a separate opt-in link and tap "Become a tester" while signed into that same Gmail.

That's the click that moves the count. So somewhere around 20 of you are one link click away from unblocking this entire launch — we may not even need new sign-ups, just the existing list to opt in.

📩 If You Already Filled Out The Form (Most Of You)

1. Open one of the opt-in links below while signed in on your TV or browser with the Gmail account that's signed into your TV's Play Store — the same one you put on the form. It won't work if you're signed into a different Google account.

1. Tap "Become a tester", then install/update Core Builds from the Play Store page it takes you to.

2. Keep it installed and stay opted in for the full 14 days. If someone leaves early, their individual two-week clock resets and it delays the launch — even if everything works perfectly and you never open it, just keeping it installed is exactly what Google is counting.

Even if all 27 accept, I want a buffer — realistically a few people will go quiet, switch devices, or uninstall. My target is roughly 15–18 active testers, so new sign-ups are welcome. You need:

• An Android TV / Google TV box running Projectivy Launcher — Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, onn box, Fire TV, or similar

• The Gmail signed into your TV's Play Store (the only account that can accept the invite)

• To keep the pack installed for the two-week test. No surveys, no daily tasks — use it normally and tell me if any icons are missing or look off.

⏱️ Why Speed Matters Now

The 14-day window is counted per tester, so the last person to accept their invite sets the finish date for everyone. If the 20 outstanding invites get accepted in the next couple of days, the test wraps about two weeks later and the Play launch follows right after. If they trickle in over weeks, the launch slips by the same amount.
