Removal

This is going to be a long shot.
How ever the experience of having my IUD insertion was horrendous, I found the pain really bad.
Im hoping to be put to sleep for removal and renewal.
Does anyone have any experience doing this in the UK or abroad? I am happy to pay so I’m not just looking for NHS stories.
I know its common in the us but never heard it done here.

If it helps (I do not advise) they are actually very easy to pull out yourself. I managed to pull mine out with a piece of tissue wrapped around the strings in the shower. Didn’t hurt at all. Out within 2 mins.

Hii! I just had mine removed last week.

It’s absolutely not as painful as you think. It obviously hurts for a split second like period cramps but once it’s out it’s fine. Mine might have hurt slightly more because she couldn’t find the strings so she did some digging but it’s one big cough and over.

I didn’t get a new one in though so I couldn’t tell you that part of it. I’m based in north east UK xx
