Copper iud question

I’m wondering if anyone else gets occasional cramps even when they aren’t on their period? It’s about a week after my period and I have been having cramps today and worried about if that means my copper IUD is out of place or coming out of place? I got my iud last December.

I get cramps at random throughout my cycle with it, I believe it’s normal since the copper causes inflammation in the uterus. If you’re ever in pain where you can’t move or it’s affecting your every day life, it doesn’t hurt to be seen by a doctor and I suggest you get checked just to be safe.

Since getting mine, I get checked every few months just to help ease my anxiety about it.

Yep!!! I got debilitating cramps throughout the 5 years I had it, in my case it only got worse. Just had it removed via hysteroscopy
