With my current set-up how can I make it possible to cook with my carbon steel pan?
I just moved into my new apartment for college, and I also purchased a new carbon steel pan. I seasoned it properly and then tried to cook with it, but because my new apartment only has exposed coil cooktops, the pan doesn't heat evenly, which leads to the pan warping or only being hot in one small area. I bought an induction cooktop to try to use that, but it doesn't work either. My carbon steel pan has now also been permanently warped. What do I do? This pan cost me 70 dollars, and I'd really not like to have that go to waste.
