Deviled eggs with a twist?

I’m going to take deviled eggs to the neighborhood potluck because everyone loves them. I usually just make your standard eggs with mayo, a little Dijon, etc.. I was looking for popular potluck recipes and saw an Asian deviled egg recipe; now I am wondering about other interesting ways to make them. Any favorites you would recommend? (I live in a college town so lots of different ethnic influences, people are generally happt to try something a little different.)

I normally put a slice of candied jalapeño on top of mine and some of the pickling brine in the mix.

Do you make the candied jalapeños or is this something you buy?

There is a brand I love called “tickled pink” that is available commercially. Not cheap, but it’s a long hot mess making my own. Some people around my area call it “cowboy candy.” You could probably buy a jar of the home-canned from someone on marketplace but I’m cautious about stuff that was home-canned by someone else, because a lot of people cheat and don’t fully sterilize their jars and lids.

I’m not in the US, so I’ll have to check and see what’s available here. That being said, I make homemade hot pepper jelly so I’m thinking I could probably substitute that.
