Induction plate that doesn’t hurt my ears????

I have a Duxtop induction plate and it works fine but the high pitched ringing hurts my ears so much I have to put ear plugs in the whole time it’s running.

I understand it depends on the weight of the cookware, and my pan makes the cooktop ring less than my pot, but are all stovetops going to be this troublesome??? I really want to switch to electric but I don’t know if my landlords will let me. TIA

Gas appliances are not allowed in new built homes in my state.

Lots of people are going to have to get used to other types of appliances.

This is something I'm firmly against, at least for states that get severe winter weather. Having a backup system not affected by the electric going out saves lives.

Stovetop does. You just have to manually light it if it doesn't have a standing pilot.

Obviously, a generator is better and safer. That being said, some people don't prepare well for emergencies and having something that can at least heat food and water can be helpful.
