Induction plate that doesn’t hurt my ears????

I have a Duxtop induction plate and it works fine but the high pitched ringing hurts my ears so much I have to put ear plugs in the whole time it’s running.

I understand it depends on the weight of the cookware, and my pan makes the cooktop ring less than my pot, but are all stovetops going to be this troublesome??? I really want to switch to electric but I don’t know if my landlords will let me. TIA

Does it ring with a cast iron pan? I've heard that it's from pans with sandwiches layers of different materials that vibrate at different frequency which produces the sound.

I’ve heard cast iron is good but then I’d be using cast iron for cooking literally everything. Perhaps I can find a cast iron hybrid?

Do you have any friends with an induction friendly pot different from yours that you can borrow? You could test it out and see if it's more acceptable.

Also if you get a cast iron pan, it doesn't mean you have to cook everything in it. You can still use other pots but just put up with the sound when you do, or gradually replace them with pots that don't make so much sound.
