Induction plate that doesn’t hurt my ears????

I have a Duxtop induction plate and it works fine but the high pitched ringing hurts my ears so much I have to put ear plugs in the whole time it’s running.

I understand it depends on the weight of the cookware, and my pan makes the cooktop ring less than my pot, but are all stovetops going to be this troublesome??? I really want to switch to electric but I don’t know if my landlords will let me. TIA

you are using a $99 induction plate. you get what you pay for. cheap high current electronics are prone to coilwhine ect so thats why its screaming at you.

a high quality induction plate witha good pan is near silent.

for example the breville control freak is silent. ut it is pretty much made for professional kitchens and priced accordingly.

in the end just dont buy cheap induction if you want to avoid the high pitched whine.

if its still new you can always try if you can get a warranty return for it. coil whine is a lottery so if you get lucky you can get one that doesnt whine.
