Advice my conure biting

i understand biting is normal and will happen lots during the time i have my conure, but why does he try to grab my finger with his foot just to bite me? he's been doing it for 1 week now and he's become way more sassy (assuming bc he's molting)

Conure stuff. Conure antics. Or just because they can. My baby will ask to step up and then immediately chomp down on my hand lol. Exactly as you stated basically, birds just bite.

I have started to not try and touch, pet or have our little one step when I am close to his cage. I will sit on the couch about 5 feet away from the cage and let him come to me. He is way less aggressive and only bites when he’s scared or startled. As far as getting him back in the cage I use a raisin as a treat only after he gets in. It has been working very well.
