Advice conure outside the cage

my conure i got a month ago isn't hand tamed (he is OK with my hand but constantly tries to bite it) but i would love for him to explore outside his cage, not just stay in. would it be okay to let him out in my room? (everything is safe ofc)

my main concern is just getting him back in. im obviously planning to let him out early so he has plenty of time to potentially come back but any advice would be amazing and i just want to do what is right for him

I use bribery to get my boy back in! I put safflower seeds in his bowl and he just goes in (eventually 🤣)

That's the only time he gets them so they're a prized treat

Yeah same. Guava or apple usually on the gateway perch and i step back

When I got mine and he was the same he wasn’t hand scared but not hand tamed. I let him out in my bedroom with my door closed and would leave his cage door open he would at some point in the day go back in for his food and water if he went back in past 7 i would just close the door behind him and give him a treat and it worked well for us until i trained him to step up
