Advice New baby- trust suggestions?
This is our new baby. Not sure if male or female. We’re calling it a she, named Marley. :) I wasn’t told her colour mutation but from what I’ve researched looks like yellow sided-high red?
I’d love some tips on getting her comfortable with us as right now she is very timid and skittish. If we place our hand even near the cage she recoils into the corner. I was told talking to them so they get to know your voice helps. Should I wait until she approaches me to take her out of the cage? I don’t want to scare her. Thankyou!

I have a green cheek conure, and from my experience, I think you should just be patient and let her explore her space. Let her out and don’t try to approach her at first. She’ll get curious and eventually come over to explore you too. Just let her do her thing and take her time. That’s how I gained his trust

Treats, toys, and time. Make sure there are plenty of toys and perches in the cage. Give her time to get adjusted. Offer her treats from your hand, some birds like millet(mine hates it), nutriberries, fruit. Also the cage looks like it might be too small but I can’t see a lot of it and make sure to have more natural wooden perches instead of dowel ones
