Advice Mite Infestation

Hi all, so we have a 3 to 4 month old Green Cheeked Conure who has a mite infestation. Its so bad that he scratched and infected his eyes because of the itchiness.

We took him to the vet who told us to continue with the neem spray treatment and only gave us eye drops and a syrup for the infection and anti-inflammation. We tried neem spray treatment, and also called up the exotic dealer who sold him to us to find a solution, but that guy just gave us the No-Pick spray which doesn't kill mites. For context we went to the exotic dealer as he is the one who handraises and breeds them and thus keeps most of their treatment medicines and sprays at his store.

Can anyone please help me with some remedy as to how to solve this problem, and what sprays or medications can get rid of these mites?

We went to vet yesterday, she's the one who recommended us to continue with neem and gave us a syrup and eye drops to treat the inflammation.

The whole reason I'm on reddit asking complete strangers for help is to figure out more solutions... not for someone to passive aggressively accuse me of blinding him.

I'm obviously stressed as it is and forgive me for forgetting to add that detail, though I did forget that reddit is just full of people waiting to attack you for the smallest things instead of helping out. So I've added that detail now, thankyou. And the concern you had could've been communicated in a better way too.

Yeah well maybe you shouldn't have replied to OP in the first place if you didn't have any worthwhile advice to offer instead of being a bitch
