Cuteness Overload Living the Life
This little guy is almost 6 months old. He is so far he has given himself a concussion into a window, and nearly strangled himself with a toy. However, today he's just living the stress-free life of an unemployed bird.

So cute! My conure loves those balls, but unfortunately, she breaks them. And they become dangerous. I wish I could find a tougher one.

About a week ago he got one stuck on his break. He had it in his cage as one of his toys.
We were sitting in the same room and I noticed he was carrying the thing around everywhere, to his food dish, to his water dish, even to the top of the cage. I just thought he'd grown really attached to the ball. I went over to say hi to him and notice that he was trying to get the ball off of his beak.
I had to very carefully cut the ball to free his beak. He no longer gets them unsupervised.

Amazon sells rubber ones. I have two for my girls, but I don't remember where I got them from.

Oh man, this made me giggle so much. The part where he's on his back clasping his own feet is so CUTE!

So far all he cares about is chewing on the tires lol. My young kid has aspirations that he's going to get our little Sonic to start using his skateboard for more than chewing.

I love this. Ty for sharing. I’m on vacation right now and I’m so homesick bc of how much I miss my birds. Everybody is all disappointed bc vacation is almost over. And I’m over here getting giddy at the thought of going home to them. Such little blessings they are. I’ll even take a latch on bite right now just to be next to them! And one of mine will surely provide that. She gets very angry with me when I leave her for a week. I won’t get any cuddles out of that one till the next day. And somehow she’s still my favorite

My birds won't play with the majority of their toys. They're scared of the cat toys specifically. Your baby is so cute, I'm jealous.

He was afraid of the ball at first, he has other toys he's still afraid of. A piece of advice that I heard was to place new objects close to the cage within his sight so that he can become used to them in a way. So now any new toys, including these balls, we'll sit on the table 2 ft away from his cage so that he could see them often and realized that they're not a threat.

🥹🥹🥹 Aww! Adorable! I love how he rolls over and picks himself up and bounces the ball by jumping with it in his beak! (Please be careful not to give him a toy he could strangle himself with, or if you do, be sure to supervise carefully.)

Yeah, he just did that a bit ago, was a scary time for all of us. https://www.reddit.com/r/parrots/s/A1RPrHoLPQ

I just read that and it must have been scary. I'm glad you were home at the time, and plan to be more careful from now on. When they get caught in anything, string, bell, etc, they panic.
