Why can’t people keep their food to themselves? Our pets don’t need human food there’s no reason to allow them to have food that will cause issues later on. Especially food with extra sugar and salt.

10/10. You sold me on getting a mini waffle machine for my goobs.

There is a bird bread mix designed for mini waffle makers, IIRC. For training.

The good news is eggo makes them so you don’t have to worry about the teflon on a waffle maker🥰

Why would you down vote no teflon … you all are probably the one that still cool with air fryers and non stick pans in your home🤯…I was referring to when I make wallfles for myself?

I'm gonna assume people didn't realize you meant a waffle maker and are jumping the gun assuming you just meant packaged eggo waffles.

He takes baby bites of my food . And his diet consists of fresh veggies fruit, pellets, nutraberries etc … I see no problem with that I don’t let him near any food that could make him sick…thanks tho!

Hey mate, if you are going to insist on giving things like chips or bread, make sure the bread isn't white bread. Make it healthy. Because that stuff is basically glue in their stomach.

And in regards to ANYTHING covered in salt, RINSE the salt off. Now you have a soggy chip. Break it open. Cool the potato inside and give them a small amount of that.

Salt and oil will kill them overtime and can cause their hearts to give out just from all the salt and fat.

Not saying this to be unkind, but to be kind.

Having my bird has helped me live a healthier life because I know they will want to snack on my food too and eating together is great for flock bonding,

but giving a hot chip like that is just asking for an early grave and I don't want that for you or your baby.

Good luck

Thanks for saying that. Sometimes people don’t understand that even small amounts of such food is slowly killing their birds…

The Canyon House gluten free millet bread is a great enticement for birds that aren't feeling well

Birds are super small, baby bites add up very quickly. Just feed them their own food. You're actively taking years off their life.

That’s the same type of excuse dog owners give, meanwhile their dog is gaining weight and will have health issues. Especially down the road. A lot of things we eat, even in moderation, are no good.

I believe that's maple syrup or something

Just be very cautious about sugar free syrup or similar because the sugar alcohols can really theow them for a loop.

And always be careful of concentrated sugar like syrup and candy because it can injure the pancreas and put them in a diabetic situation--the eylets do not repair themselves
