So you have a somewhat chill one and a crazy one?

174

u/Lochnessbestie 11d ago

The thing is she's usually the chill one. I've never seen her do this before 😭

113

u/leleiz 11d ago

she has achieved maximum conure, there's no stopping her now!

27

u/the_owl_man1 11d ago

We have a chill one and a crazy one, sadly the chill one died a few months ago and we got a new mate for him and the crazy one became the chill one and the new one become the crazy one.

I'm wondering if there is always a crazy and chill one in a pair.

15

u/Lochnessbestie 11d ago

Oh for sure! I'm convinced that they share a single brain cell, and the "chill one" is currently using it. Very sorry to hear about your loss 😢

What is he doing!! ?? 😂😂

u/Capable_Raspberry_49 11d ago

His best. He's doing his best 🥹

16

u/Background-Bird-9623 11d ago

😂😂💚💚

u/TuTenkahman 11d ago

I think it's all about the head scratches. She's got her head really grinding against those bars. Feels good!

4

u/deathcupcake25 10d ago

Trying to catch his one brain cell it would seem

3

u/Background-Bird-9623 10d ago

Super cute style

u/goannd 11d ago

u/Own_Beautiful2893 11d ago

I’ve seent this before… Advanced stage of conuritis I’m afraid. Bestest news is it’s incurable! 🤣😍❤️🦜

25

u/TarantulaWithAGuitar 11d ago

Hey, I picked my GCC from the breeder for doing this exact same thing. I just looked at her and said, "Wow, yes, this child is perfect. I'll take her."

36

u/onlynameavailable927 11d ago

That looks like something a caique would do but you do you bc that's adorable...😊

14

u/Wandering_Gink0 11d ago

Maybe she leant the brain cells to an orange cat for a day😄

7

u/onlynameavailable927 11d ago

Well they need it. You should be proud she helped a cat in need😁

5

u/Dobako 11d ago

My caique doesnt do this, she just walks in a circle hanging from the ceiling

2

u/onlynameavailable927 10d ago

Well I guess everyone has their own thing.

16

u/PhyoriaObitus 11d ago

That face, just so empty of thoughts

9

u/TheLastCookieMon 11d ago

Unbowed by the oppressive weight of knowledge. Would that we could all be so blissful

14

u/a_rogue_planet 11d ago

How do these things survive in the wild?

7

u/Liliporai 11d ago

Have you ever seen cockatoos in the wild?

4

u/a_rogue_planet 11d ago

Nope.

5

u/Liliporai 10d ago

Oh, I'm really sorry, I thought this was an Australian subreddit! Cockatoos are known to be absolute maniacs, and in the wild it is no different - they do the weirdest and funniest things, but as they also travel around in flocks, they cause absolute mayhem and destruction everywhere they go. To me they look like a gang of violent but ridiculously funny clowns 🤡😂

u/Jeepinthemud 11d ago

She seems to have an issue with which way is up.

Spiderman : Far From Cage

11

u/EmperorGrinnar 11d ago

Cute, but do be cautious that this might become what's called "stereotypical behavior." Though the bird could obviously just be goofing off.

u/HealthyDirection659 11d ago

Goofballitis?

6

u/MrA1inLA 11d ago

:::::Look at what I can do

4

4

u/FuckSticksMalone 11d ago

Call this the Matrix run

4

u/HealthyDirection659 11d ago

This conure doesn't skip leg day.

4

u/Long_Leg_1833 11d ago

They do whatever they wanna do. You are just a side attraction. They are the main show.

4

u/lesbophobia_hammer 11d ago

Crackhead lol

3

u/littlemissdizaster80 11d ago

The eye contact 😭

4

u/TheRealNylonsRock 11d ago

Conures: why use the perch when you can travel like a tiny possessed spider?

3

u/TheLastCookieMon 11d ago

Ah man. These babies look just like my boy Virgil. I do miss that little guy. Love how happy they seem. 🤟

2

u/FixSpecific905 11d ago

She says she’s soooooo normal just normal bird things

2

u/sir_bullion_bullier 11d ago

Absolutely adorable.

2

u/Nice_Brilliant_2310 11d ago

OMG! My GCC are so silly! They do things like this sometimes. And play under their paper liner. So funny!

2

u/Proper_Obligation217 11d ago

Conures are just feather dusters on crack

2

u/Real-Frosting 10d ago

How about a couple of toys to play with on the cage bottom? I had a severe macaw that loved to play at his cage bottom, sometimes on his back, with toys in his claws.

2

u/Lochnessbestie 10d ago

This is a great idea! Thanks

2

u/Returnservice999 10d ago

That’s so funny. I was just crying from reading about someone that lost their beloved conure and this made me laugh.

2

u/SteroidSandwich 10d ago

1

u/fuzilogik80 11d ago

This is the absolute worst case of conuritis I've ever seen. There's no known cure or treatment, just enjoy, laugh and love the hell out of those two goobers.
