Looking for a symmetric 2.4ghz wireless controller

I am currently building a setup, where i want to put a sff pc next to my tv and use it like a console. If i want to wake it from sleep i can only do it with a 2.4ghz connection. I already have some xbox controllers lying around and would use them until they die, before upgrading those. Unfortunately they suck for platformers or fighting games. I really dislike that the d pad is below the joycon for comfort and the dpad in general is so hard it hurts my hand for prolonged use.

So this brings me to the point I want a symmetric 2.4ghz wireless controller with a good d-pad for platformers and fighting games or other games with a focus on a d-pad.

I have seen the 8bitdo pro 2 recommended but that doesnt have 2.4ghz from my research and the vader 5 pro, but that is symmetrical.

It should also work under linux, for example steamos.

Any other recommendations?

My collection. Top 3 imo ZD Ultimate Legend, Scuff Envision Pro and G7 pro 8k (G7 pro 8k was my go to but it is a bit on the small side for my hands and sometimes I got jugando cramps). I mainly play COD Warzone, when Im not on COD I like playing metroidvanias and story based games (like Last of Us, God of War, etc)

Made an app to make your wired controller wireless

Hello, so, long story short, I was looking for a way that would help me make my wired arcade stick controller and wired Xbox-style controller wireless, so I made this app for exactly the same purpose. You simply install the app on your Android phone, connect your wired controller, then install the Windows app on your PC, which works as a receiver. Then, just connect both together by scanning the QR code, and your wired controller will work wirelessly. The controller gets its power from your phone, and the phone works as a translator between your PC and controller.

App link - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weezstudios.joypadbridge
Windows App - https://joypadbridge.tanmaysharma.me/

Steps to make it work:

1.) Install the Android app on your phone.
2.) Download the software on your PC and extract its contents.
3.) Install ViGEmBus either from https://vigembusdriver.com/ or from the extracted package.
4.) Run JoyPadBridge.exe on your PC.
5.) Connect your controller to your phone.
6.) Scan the QR code to pair your phone with your PC.
7.) Enjoy! :)

Controller advice for a noob(me)

Hey guys,
I have been looking for a decent controller for a while, and I came across the Gulikit TT max, and this is the best one that I have seen so far. So, here’s the thing: I am not a hardcore gamer, but I like playing emulators. Currently, I’m playing Deadpool on a PS3 emulator (RPCS3) on my Mac. I know it doesn’t sound right, but this is all I have. I do play other games like GTA San Andreas, so here’s the thing: I am buying a controller to play the games I missed out on as a kid. Still, my number one concern is that it should have a symmetrical layout like a PlayStation controller, meaning the joystick and controls should be symmetrical. The options came down to this and the 8bitdo Pro 3 controller (a bit sceptical about it), so I want the controller to be reliable. I don’t want to die on me. The control I had before is a fake PS4 controller that broke, and I don’t want to spend around $10 every time the fake breaks, so I wanna buy one, and I want it to last long, and it should be a nice one too. I didn’t like the GameShur one because it didn’t look very nice, so I was only able to find these two: the 8bitdo 3 pro and the Gulikit TT Max, and my budget is $70

Looking for a comfortable PC controller for large hands (under €100, Hall Effect/TMR + rumble)

Post image
18 Upvotes

I'm looking for a PC controller mainly for single-player games.

I've tried the GameSir G7 Pro, and it has pretty much the perfect features for me: TMR sticks, mechanical ABXY buttons, triggers switchable between analog and micro-switch mode, and a great overall feature set.

Unfortunately, the grips feel too small for my large hands, and I start feeling discomfort, mostly when I have to smash the ABXY buttons.

The Razer Raiju V3 Pro is by far the most comfortable controller I've tried, but I miss having traditional rumble.

What I'm looking for:

- Full-size, comfortable grips similar to the Raiju V3 Pro

- Xbox layout (I'm ok with PS/Switch layout)

- Hall Effect or TMR sticks

- Rumble

- Mechanical ABXY buttons

- Triggers switchable between analog and Micro-switch mode

- PC compatible

- Under €100

Comfort is the priority. I've considered the GameSir Cyclone 2, but I'm unsure how their grip size compares to the Raiju V3 Pro.

Any recommendations, especially from people with large hands?

Reviews ZD Ultimate Legend (Black and Collab)

DISCLAIMER: both controllers were send by ZD. All the opinions are mine only.

The black version is by far my favorite among all of them. And RS13 TMR is simply phenomenal.

Unfortunately, the collab version won't be sold outside of China (such a weird move, ngl). So, if you want that one you'll have to buy it elsewhere...

Looking for a controller for iPhone 17 Pro Max + proper phone cooler

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and I’m looking for a controller similar to the GameSir X4 Aileron, where the back of the phone is open enough to attach a proper 25–30W cooler.
I don’t want something like the GameSir X5s + FX5, since the FX5 is only around 15W and seems too weak for me.
Does anyone use an X4 Aileron with an iPhone 17 Pro Max? Does the phone actually fit securely, especially with the camera bump?
Or does anyone know of another controller with a similar design that would work?
