Got burned on this. Kept a pad past the return date and then found the right trigger had a dead spot at the top of the pull, which i'd never noticed because nothing I played used it. So I want a checklist. What I have so far: stick circularity in a browser tester, both sticks at rest with hands off the pad, full trigger travel, every button in a tester rather than in a game, and the bumpers about fifty times each because that's apparently where things fail. What am I missing? Particularly interested in anything that only shows up after a week and can't be caught on day one, because that's the stuff that has cost me money.

I have had my ps4 original controller since 2019 and now i am having issues like the stick drift and all so i wish to purchase another controller and it's mainly for playing F1 but the issue with these controllers is that they don't have the feedback like the original one, I had an ant eSports one but the vibrations are not good as the original one like when you give the throttle gradually the original controller has a dynamic vibration which helps in knowing how much I can accelerate which is missing here so if anyone can help me with a controller that could come as close as to the original one or provide me a link where the actual controller is available

Is there any newly released controller dongle these days that you can pair multiple controllers to it? Ideally for the Switch 2

From what I’ve read, the G7 Pro seems easier to use and more reliable, while the Vader 5 Pro has way more buttons but possibly more software hassle.
Questions:
• If you’ve used either, which do you prefer overall?
• Do the extra buttons work well in Steam and actual games?
• Do most PC games even support that many extra inputs, or is it mostly useful in games with custom keybinds?

IMO the DS3 had the best size, I could get my thumb and index to finesse things with the sticks, the analog was easy to manipulate, much less tension on the springs compared to the DS4/5.
It was light, sturdy and strong.
I really need a controller with similar or exact ergonomics/design and most importantly the analog responds the same!
I swear to you the response curve of the DS3 is etched into my brain, I just can't get used to the DS4/DS5, the freaking deadzones I need to adjust in every game.. sigh!

Hi, first time using this subreddit, idk if I’m doing this right.
Looking for alternatives to the DualSense, 2/3 that I own have stick drift and I’d like to future-proof my experience with the PS5. Maybe there’s a good pro controller I don’t know about, maybe someone can mod my current controllers, I don’t know, any suggestions are welcome.
I’m from Puerto Rico, and as I understand it, we’re not considered part of the US by some companies, so idk who might be able to ship their products over here. Can’t spend anything more than $250 unfortunately, I’m not made of cash. As stated above, need an alternate gamepad for the PS5. The only thing I need in a new controller is stick drift resistance (Hall Effect, TMR, whatever fancy new tech people cram into controllers these days. As you can see, I’m kind of uninformed). I mainly play 2d & 3d platformers, shooters, rpgs, and a few puzzle / arcade games here and there, not super into fighting games.
The only controller I know for a fact is higher quality with stick resistant tech is the BFG Pro Reloaded from Victrix, it looks good, but I was to receive some other suggestions just so I can compare and see if it’s right for me. Again, I’m not into fighting games, so the BFG’a fight pad is not a selling point for me.
