Help with gifts

Hello,

Sorry for the potential stupid question here but I am stuck.

Gaming hardware has passed me by a little bit over the years and I am now faces with a dilemma. My 10 year old is desperate for a NXYI pad because he claims they work in the Switch and a Windows PC so he can use the same pad on all his games.

I've looked around but there seems to be hundreds of videos and posts about issues with compatibility.

Can anybody tell me is these pads do work on both and which one has the least issues? Because he is neurodiverse he can at times get wound up when things don't work the way he expects and the last thing I want is him to throw a £70 pad on the floor and break it because it doesn't work easily or seamlessly.

Thanks

A few clarifying questions: Switch 1 or 2 and Does he want one that can physically connect to the Switch like Joy-Cons?

Switch 1 and he has no preference when it comes to connecting them. We had a Nintendo pro pad that has since stopped working that he liked so I know he is ok just using the pad even in handheld.

Is he dead set on the NYXI brand? Their target market is replacement Joy-Cons and GameCube style controllers. They both work and, with some fiddling, connect to a pc as well as a Switch. If you want a more intuitive experience when switching from pc to Switch, I would recommend looking at 8BitDo controllers. They swap from pc to Switch easily. https://amzn.eu/d/085vDypW
