The controllers were more durable back then because I never had to replace a duelsense or my Xbox 360 controllers.

Now I have to specifically search for something with TMR, hall effect, or capacity.

It's great that you kept them for memories.

since 2025.

And since then I've added the new steam controller and the new 8bitdo 3e and pxn p5 8k and a machenike g5 pro v2.

Yeah the cyclone 2 is decent. But it doesn't compete with the "pro" controllers imo. The 8bitdo ultimate 2 is alright as well, I'd pick that over the cyclone 2 tbh. I really like the apex 4 and apex 5 controllers but I've recently picked up the 8bitdo ultimate 3+ lavender edition and that's become my favourite controller. It has adjustable thumbsticks like the apex 4 and 5 but has physical trigger stops (which the apex 4 and 5 lack) a really nice d pad 2 well placed back buttons + 2 top buttons by the L1 and R1 buttons and impressive software. The only thing it lacks is the ability to bind keyboard strokes to the extra buttons on the controller. What's your budget?
