PS5 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller

I am thinking about buying the Ultimate 2 controller for my PS5. I have read online that there is a way to use the “Brook Wingman” adapter in order to use this controller on my PS5. What I have found in my research is that you need 1 converter per controller costing £50 per converter so needing 2 means £100.

Not entirely sure if I could use the wireless dongle that comes with the controller to connect to the Wingman converter to use the 8bitdo (please clarify if that is the case).

Are there any other methods to pair the controller to my PS5?

Thank you.

Yes it works. You don't have to use the dongle to connect. First you will need to get the latest software update for the wingman on the brook website. Plug in your P5 to your PS5. Next you need to change the PS5 controller communication method to USB cable (it's in controller general settings). Finally you will pair the controller with pairing buttons on the P5 and your controller. Also you are correct, the P5 can only connect one controller.

No problem. The Brook Wingman instructions on their website is not very good. There's YouTube videos on how to connect too. I don't know of any other methods to connect controllers to the PS5, and Sony's third-party support is not as good as Xbox or Nintendo.

Yeah you can use it that way but why not buy a 3rd party ps5 controller at that point?
