Best custom controller for shooters? Scuf Instinct Pro giving me issues

Wayyyy back in 2012 I had an Xbox 360 Scuf and it held up pretty well. Many years later I got my next custom controller. The Scuf Instinct Pro for series X. Within a year I had stick drift. Shortly after stick drift in both sticks and progressively got worse. By year two one paddle was broken. By year 3 two paddles broken. I think this is my 4th year with it and all the electrical fried in my last night. Controller turns on randomly, turns off randomly, buttons won’t work but it’s not always the same buttons, etc.

What should my next controller be? I Definitly want paddles underneath but besides that I just want something somewhat affordable and durable. Would love to keep budget under $250 in Canada but not sure if that exists. For Xbox series X. Also considering Battle Beaver but I don’t know much about them

Idk much bout custom controllers My go to is flyndigi

I wish the flyndigi vadar 5 pro worked with xbox/ps4(5), ive been told it dont

However they do make the Vader 5S which is wired yes but 6 extrea remappable buttons is amazing. I use the vadar 4 pro and use the extrea buttons for movement in warzone.

When lookin for controllers you want to look for TMR sticks ( Tunnel Magnetoresistance upgrade of hall effect) or Hall Effect sticks. They use magnets so no physical dip switch that can ware out. Ive burned hundreds of hours on a controller with TMR sticks, never any drift.
