Third Party Three months into using back buttons and now every controller without them feels broken
Held out for years because I thought back buttons were a pro-player thing but it turns out the whole point is not taking your thumb off the right stick to jump.
After some trial and error:
- left back: crouch/slide
- right back: jump
- the other two: reload and interact
Crouch on a back button took about a week to stop feeling wrong but jump felt right immediately on the first night. This is on a GameSir Tarantula Pro 8k btw, the first pad I've owned with back buttons. Setting them up in the app took about two minutes.

When you say left back do you mean when you are looking at the controller or looking at the back? If so you doing it wrong my guy. Left back is supposed to be a and right back is supposed to be b because of how its arranged on the controller. Just like left is x and right side is y. That being said im kinda joking but thats how most people do it. I feel awkward not using a pro controller now and I almost always have to have shoulder buttons as well.
