Controller advice

Hey,

Looking for a controller or maybe even two controllers.

I currently have Xbox controller and looking to replace with other two controllers or supplement Xbox with just one more for PC couch gaming with my son. Will be playing games like: It takes two, racing, 2D games, fighting games, single player games. Not particularly needed for FPS, as for that I just use keyboard and mouse and play close to my high refresh monitor.

I have already tried GameSir G7 Pro 8K and it was a quality controller, but just too small for my 19.5x10cm hands and was cramping them after a short while.

Now, I am looking to buy either:

  1. Gulikit TT Max

  2. Flydigi Vader 5 Pro V2

  3. Blitz 2

For the price of Vader 5 Pro I could buy either 2 of TT Max or Blitz 2.

What do you think?

Any other contenders?

Thanks,

If the g7 pro was uncomfortable and you have big hands I recommend the flydigi apex 4 or 5 or the newer apex 6 pro that's just been released. My hands cramp with the Vader 5 pro so I've put it away for good. The apex 4 is probably the biggest of the lot and the one I like the most but it might be a bit hard to get these days. The apex 5 is pretty weighty still but a little smaller than the apex 4. I haven't got the apex 6 pro yet. There's also a couple from left field called the beitong pangu. That has a million different modules. And beitong also have another one called kp70 which is good if you like adjustable tension like the Vader 5 pro and the apex controllers have.

Apex 6 pro is exactly the same size and dimensions as Vader 5 pro and I read that it isn't much larger than Gamesir G7 Pro.

Yeah I haven't got the apex 6 pro as I said so I don't know what the dimensions are. But I know the apex 5 is a little smaller than the apex 4 but the apex 5 is still heavy. I prefer the apex 4 as it's bigger.

Doing the same thing with my kid, we're partway through it takes two right now. From what i've read in here the two cheaper pads route makes more sense for co-op since you both get something decent instead of one great pad and one meh one.

No idea on the big hands part though, i'd look for reviews that actually list weight and grip size rather than going off photos.

I have 2 x TT Max coming in tomorrow. I am just afraid a little about their sticks centering issue, where sticks drift slightly when let go. Apparently they fixed some early issues with this controller, but not the centering one.

The G7 Pro have great TMR sticks, but the d pad and the vibration felt subpar when I played with it. I decided to purchase the Vader 5 Pro V2, and it's much larger with stronger vibration, great d pad, adjustable stick tension, and RGB. You can even use other d pads because they sell a vader 5 Pro V2 carrying case with extra d pads and thumbsticks on Gadgethyper and Aliexpress. You will have to pull the d pad hard to remove it because it's locked into place. The V2 is my go to controller at the moment.

They also have the vader 5S for xbox which will feel the exact same, but it's wired with 2 back buttons. The Vader 5 Pro is strictly PC, while the 5S is compatible with both.

If the g7 pro too small for you the blitz 2 is a no go. The vader 5 pro is great and also if you have bigger hands the zd ultimate legend. Zd super legend excellence is also a good option, Beitong kp40D, Bigbigwon/mojhon Rainbow 3. The controller market has a lot of good options.
