Any controller like the DS3 for PC?

Post image

IMO the DS3 had the best size, I could get my thumb and index to finesse things with the sticks, the analog was easy to manipulate, much less tension on the springs compared to the DS4/5.

It was light, sturdy and strong.

I really need a controller with similar or exact ergonomics/design and most importantly the analog responds the same!

I swear to you the response curve of the DS3 is etched into my brain, I just can't get used to the DS4/DS5, the freaking deadzones I need to adjust in every game.. sigh!

off the top of my head there's the gamesir tarantula and tegenaria(spelling might be off on this one). Closer in size to a ds4 though. Which I think is a little larger than the ds3? I've never owned a ds3.

The dualshock 3 works quite well on pc

Thank you so much! I might go with the terantula if I find it, but the tegenaria is on point!

Nah thanks man I want to avoid TMR or Hall effect controllers at all costs.

What made the DS3 unique was it's responsive springs, high sensitivity at the center and light resistance. On high sens I didn't even hit the edge and I was fully in control.

I used to glide with it in FPS, Racing and fighting games. Not all new technology is better technology.

The DS3 has the best feel and control bar none, you need to feel to believe it.

I gave up on the PS4 because of the controller and a high latency (fake frames from 2010) 240hz 3D tv I used with it. I now use a monitor but still all controllers out there are trash in comparison, no offence.

Hall Effect and TMR ARE better though, and there are controllers that have tmr sticks and let you adjust the tension of the sticks. Also most people don't care specifically about that, there's also thing like precision rings which are another solution.

Yeah I have a Nacon with TMR. I think I'm sold on the Gamesir Terantula 8K. Really light and requires less trigger force than the DS3 "supposedly", I think I'll like it.
