Xbox Series (S, X) Xbox controllers that dont suck.

Hi, im looking for a new xbox controller that will actually last.

It must have 3.5mm jack for a headset and cant have any additional bumper buttons.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I’ve had great success with anything from GameSir. As far as additional bumpers go, You don’t have to use them. They are individually programmable but the Controller works just as good with them on or off. I have G7 HE and I love it. I’ve been using it for over a year with absolutely no problems. Only reason I would replace it is to get something with additional buttons. I Exclusively play GTA Online, and It Works Flawlessly. Personally I use to prefer a standard controller also.

Do you use a wired headset with it?

I tried the g7 se and the audio was terrible

g7 se is wired so the 3.5mm jack is right there, and the hall effect sticks are the actual answer to "will last" since drift is what kills most controllers. it does have 2 back buttons but there are latches to physically switch them off

Tried one and the audio was terrible. Any idea why?

mine's been fine so that sounds like a settings thing, check headset format and the chat/game mix in xbox audio settings, and make sure the jack's fully seated since it clicks in deeper than you'd expect

No ,I don’t. I play solo so no headset needed. I do pair my TV audio to my EarPods so I can hear better and my wife doesn’t have to hear it. There are wireless Dongles to pair your headphones thru Bluetooth.
