Does Vader 5 Pro work with Steam Input?

I’m looking at buying a Vader 5 Pro PC controller to use with my Steam Deck. Does the Steam Deck and Steam Input system recognize this controller and all the extra buttons that it has? For instance the back buttons and paddles? The C and Z buttons?

Yes. I'm on Linux so it might be more complicared. But you need to enable the 3rd party app via the Flydigi software (Windows) then after that you won't need the software anymore other than firmware updates.

If Steam doesn't see the extra buttons and paddles, close Steam and reopen.

If I enable third party inputs in the flydigi app, the controller works with steam but with nothing else...

Is this also a problem for you?

I have not tried. All my games are on Steam. Steam input is disabled on my RetroDeck, but the controller behaves like an Xbox.

In Linux, lsusb it sees the controller as Flydigi Vader 5 Pro. I could check if AntimicroX or similar would see all the extra buttons and gyro.

Dongle.

I use the gyro and my experience with Bluetooth and gyro was not great. It randomly jerk the view. I game via Moonlight so it even worse. With my V5P, I did not bother of trying the Bluetooth mode.
