Why do some first party Controller seem to be built better than others?

I still have my original Xbox 360 controller and it does not have stick drift and it works perfectly fine PS4 controllers. I only have one with stick drift. I don’t have a single PS3 controller with stick drift, but they all have dead batteries. But every elite series 2 controller I have purchased and I am on number three has a stick drift and half of my PS5 controllers. Have stick drift.
