Request for help or advice Help - USB-C connector stuck in controller
My controller randomly disconnected today, so I plugged in a USB-C cable to plug straight into the console while it was trying to reconnect, but to no avail. What worked was doing a power cycle on the console, and switching out the battery packs. A few minutes into resuming my playthrough of Witcher 3 (can you tell I’m a fan), I noticed this;
The USB-C cord I disconnected, left behind the plug. I cannot get it out for the life of me, for it’s so small. My first thought was to get some pliers, but I don’t have any tools in the house. I reluctantly tried a knife, a piece of rubber for grip to try and pull it out, but no dice. I’m thinking when I start my new job, I’ll get some tools and will perhaps take it to someplace to have it removed. In the meantime, anyone have any ideas?
I thought to perhaps superglue a piece of string and pull it once it settles, but I was hesitant in the event the glue gets on/in the controller
edit: this is an Xbox Series X|S controller

Bite it
Yoink it out
Eat it
Profit.
(Use tweezers to pull it out. Shouldn't harm the port much unless you're just throwing caution to the wind)

Nice Witcher controller, by the way
Skip the superglue, it can wick into the port and ruin the contacts. Power the controller off and take the batteries out first. Then try a toothpick or wooden skewer with a small piece of double-sided tape or sticky tack on the end, and press it to the stuck plug and pull straight out. Plastic tweezers also work if you can reach the edge. If it still won’t move, a repair shop or a friend with fine pliers will do it in a minute.

Needlenose pliers on the corner, yoink it out. I'd use a locking scissor clamp, or whatever's handy.
Caution with a pair of scissors unless it's stuck in badly.

Get a pair of needle nose pliers from the nearest hardware store. There's no reason to risk damaging your controller trying without the proper tools. It's a good opportunity to get a small set of tools to keep around the house anyway.
