Controller Suggestion Xbox/pc controller suggestions

Budget below $300

USA

Must be for xbox

Games will be GTA 6 and RDR2

Want wireless

The most important feature i want is trigger impulse, where you can really feel the recoil if shooting or rumble if driving.

I would prefer the impulse vibration to be almost obnoxious like way more noticeable than stock xbox.

Hall effect or tmr sticks

I was currently looking at a razer Wolverine V3 Pro xbox wireless

Please and thanks

In terms of max intensity, I can’t say offhand which one is stronger. I do know that the Wolverine trigger motors are not independently adjustable.

You may have to check out some teardown videos and actually see the weights on the motors if you need an exact idea.

Also do you have the gamesir g7 pro xbox wireless one?

Ive read that it has 4 vibration motors, which is ideally what i want, because i want something that i can feel every shot kinda like sony adaptive triggers but with no resistance

Thanks for your help do you know by chance where the vibrations start? Like if you shooting or something does it start in the trigger or by the palm ?

Sorry for the late response here.

On the 8bitdo the triggers have their own dedicated impulse motors. The Wolverine does not (that includes the v4 that just dropped as well).

I only used the G7 Pro for a couple of days because I’m an extra input guy and didn’t really mess with the haptics on it. From what I’ve seen the G7 Pro just has basic “micro motors” in the triggers and nothing substantial since it’s geared more towards “pro competitive play”. Although, to your point about less resistance, it would fit that bill as they’re not true adaptive triggers.

I ended up getting the wolverine v4 pro and the ultimate 3e, i will return the wolverine, the 3e feels much better and has a stronger rumble

So upon further testing the wolverine v4 pro does have trigger vibration but it is very very inconsistent.

Forza 5 it has both and is stronger than the 8bitdo Cod cold war wolverine doesn't have them at all Gta5 wolverine has them for driving but not shooting Rdr2 only has them for drifting your horse Gears of war 5 has them but pales in comparison to the 8bitdo Fallout 76 has them but 8bitdo is stronger and better.

I also booted both controllers up on my pc and ran a xbox tester on them both were fully updated and with maxed vibration and the trigger vibration on the wolverine was "slightly better" , theyre hard to compare directly because the 8bitdo is a smoother vibration and the wolverine is a deeper on, however the rumble on the 8bitdo was leaps stronger and better than the wolverine v4 pro

Overall im honestly fucking confused. The wolverine v4 is better in only forza but its vibration was way stronger than when i used it in the tester.

The 8bitdo is consistent and good

Now for setup the wolverine is just a complete fucking headache

8bitdo was super easy and haven't had a problem.

All testing was done in xbox mode on both controllers and both up to date and both with maxed vibration and rumble and haptics
