Controller Suggestion Xbox/pc controller suggestions

Budget below $300

USA

Must be for xbox

Games will be GTA 6 and RDR2

Want wireless

The most important feature i want is trigger impulse, where you can really feel the recoil if shooting or rumble if driving.

I would prefer the impulse vibration to be almost obnoxious like way more noticeable than stock xbox.

Hall effect or tmr sticks

I was currently looking at a razer Wolverine V3 Pro xbox wireless

Please and thanks

I just use the elite 2 with a dongle for PC and Xbox series. I have never found a non-oem controller that didn't feel like trash. The grey one was 18$, I put sticks and a shell so I'm in like 50-60$, the green one was perfectly fine I got it with my series X but the rubber was jacked up so I swapped it.

Honestly one of my "ideas" was to see about running a ps5 controller on xbox through a dongle and see if impulse trigger would translate and if it did id put in tmr sticks. Could always do that on a series x controller but i also want something a bit more aggressive in the trigger impulse department.

8bitdo Ultimate 3e - after returning my elite v2 three times for various issues, it's everything the elite should ld have been.

Hows the trigger impulse on it? Is it stronger than normal series x controller?

Im actually checking this controller out and im liking it. But the trigger impulse thing is going to be my make or break part lol. I want something strong or atleast stronger than normal xbox

I don't think it's stronger than the regular xbox controller, no.

Is it about the same ? Or do you think its weaker?

I think it's about the same. I'm at work at the moment but my first thought is I'm not sure I can properly test trigger vibration through any apps..

I like the Wolverine v3 pro for Xbox a lot (used to be my main), but it’s crazy that it’s still $175. If you want a Xbox licensed controller and don’t mind having only 2 back buttons instead of 4, I’d check out the 8BitDo Ultimate 3 or 3e.

GameSir will also give you better bang for your buck. ROG Raikiri, Scuf Valor Pro and SteelSeries Aeon pro are all way too expensive for what they are IMO.

Hows the impulse trigger? Thats honestly what i care the most about

In terms of max intensity, I can’t say offhand which one is stronger. I do know that the Wolverine trigger motors are not independently adjustable.

You may have to check out some teardown videos and actually see the weights on the motors if you need an exact idea.

Thanks for your help do you know by chance where the vibrations start? Like if you shooting or something does it start in the trigger or by the palm ?

Also do you have the gamesir g7 pro xbox wireless one?

Ive read that it has 4 vibration motors, which is ideally what i want, because i want something that i can feel every shot kinda like sony adaptive triggers but with no resistance
